I get wanted to express emotions as a fan, but booing your own team is literally the worst thing a fan can do. Nothing is more demoralizing to a player than getting booed by home fans. It is counter productive.

In general, I agree.

But, Parsons is a unique situation.

You can't do and say the shit he has and expect the paying public to be good with it.

His lack of production, at that high price tag, could force them to lose Gasol in a dumpster sale.

To be clear: Parsons is not disqualified from having fun, just because his knees are lousy. But his social media posts give the impression that he's more thrilled to be loaded than he is disappointed to be injured. Indeed, when McCollumn tweeted that Portland hit the lottery by not signing Parsons, Parsons responded by referring to his contract: "Stop it. Technically, I hit the lottery."

Maybe he's mad Lin got traded to the Lakers and didn't become a HOFer.

But, they dodged a fucking bullet by not maxing Howard and didn't that pick turn into Nance Jr.?
Lin should get a statue in front of Staples Center just for the Howard shit alone.

I don't get the Lin hate, at all. I really don't.

I was annoyed with his hype in NY. But other than that, he's a solid dude.

Really sucks about Lin, but many on here have been overhyping this team all summer.

They are still in the conversation for worst team in the league. None of their additions were ever going to make them significantly better. Russell will post numbers, but his game is hollow. Not helping Them win. DeMare Carrol is probably their most impactful player, and that speaks volumes to how bad they are. I do like Crabbe, but he is a role player.

I know it is early, but they just gave up 140 to the Pacers. This could be a historically bad defensive team.

Yeah, I don't think anyone predicted the Nets to be a playoff team, or even be in the playoff race. But thinking they'd be better than the Knicks or Hawks wasn't or still isn't far fetched.

I am okay with Portis getting suspended.

But, Mirotic should get the same. He started the fight, Portis finished it. Mirotic should not escape financial consequence just because he got beat down. He was every bit as guilty.

Honestly, depending on the circumstances (I really haven't read much about it), I wouldn't punish them at all. From the little I've read and heard, it seems like this has been coming for awhile, finally blew up and Mirotic got dropped. Had it not been for Mirotic's face falling off, we likely wouldn't even know it happened.

Having said that, if there is to be punishment, I agree, it should be the same punishment for both.

I think it depends on the circumstances. If a team/player plays hard and tries to win every game, but just aren't very good...then I agree, you don't boo.

But if a team/player is performing poorly and the reason seems to be a lack of effort, or it's a team/player that talked a bunch of smack and isn't backing it up...then I have no problem with it.

Doubtful that the Nets' fate lies on the shoulders of Jeremy Lin. They'll be about as good as they were going to be, with or without him.
