If he blows another tire and only plays half a Season?

This is about as bad as the Clippers giving Blake a 5 year max.

At least Embiid is still young.

But, 31 games in 3 years is tough to swallow.

So far, I am going with Kyle Kuzma as the steal of the draft and to be the biggest surprise. Some commentators have said that Utah didn't utilize his talents well and had he been on a better team - would have drafted about tenth.

Only way this is a bad deal is if Embiid suffers a career ending injury this year. Even if he gets hurt again (season ending, not career) the Sixers were going to pay him because they don't have a choice. With Embiid they have the start to a possible contending caliber nucleus. Without him, they will be lucky to be Trail Blazers East.
