I'm glad someone called out the officials. I wonder if he gets fined.

‘It’s outrageous’: Donovan Mitchell sounds off on inconsistent officiating against Cavs

NEW ORLEANS — Donovan Mitchell was going to sound off two nights ago.
But he bit his tongue, not wanting to take attention away from Darius Garland following a fourth-quarter masterpiece and thrilling finish.

Mitchell couldn’t hold back anymore, devoting a chunk of his postgame press conference to calling out the NBA’s officials, using stats to support his complaints.

“We’re second in the league in drives per game and we’re not getting any foul calls,” Mitchell said passionately — and accurately. “I’ve been quiet about it for a long time. Tonight, I almost lost my mind out there. D.G. had no free throws. I had six. Four late in the game. J.A. (Jarrett Allen) had two. Ev (Evan Mobley) had (three). For us to be the team that we are, to drive and not get foul calls, it’s crazy.

“The refereeing has been so inconsistent, especially against us. There needs to be consistency. I’m proud of the way we were fighting through it, and I told my guys I was going to be the one to say something about it, don’t even complain, but it’s getting out of hand, it’s getting crazy.

“They need to tighten up. I’m probably going to get fined for it. But it’s outrageous.”

“I don’t know,” he replied. “But the stats are there. I didn’t want to come out here and not be factual. We are a team that is getting into the paint. It’s not just myself. It’s us as a collective. Trying to finish, getting hit, different things, eight different guys had blood on us tonight but we’re not getting no fouls called in our favor. It’s been multiple games now. For me, that’s part of my game. If I’m getting knocked off my line, that’s a foul. I mean, tonight it was a foul for Zion (Williamson) or whoever. Where’s the consistency?”

Still ended up as even and when you consider that they were up 15 at the 3 min mark, this was just as bad as the other poor quarters they had. Now if it was a back and forth quarter and they never got up as much as they did then I would have been completely ok with the quarter
so a back and forth qtr is OK but outscore by 15 then be outscored by 15 no good....even though same result? What about being behind by 15 then storming back to catch up?

The time Mobley went up for a few rebounds then finally got it in was unreal. Had to be at least 3-4 pretty hard fouls on him. Then not too much later he barely touched Zion and gets called. And of course the all ball foul by Garland we had to challenge.

Hopefully this results in more than a fine.

That Christie deal is not looking well….and cost them their mle

However, I would guess he's one of the guys competing every night.

He still makes too many turnovers trying to make plays and hasn't been hot with his jumper, but his effort is typically there.

Hawks really need to turn hunter into smaller pieces or draft capital to clear out room for their rookie and get away from the tax line

Plus they gave up too many picks for Murray and to land hunter himself

Is there a market for Hunter?

Not allowed to badmouth the officiating that's been very question for multiple seasons now. Hope he doesn't get fined but probably will.

Thought this was funny from last night's game. Around the two & half minute mark of the 3rd they posted live in-game betting. Can't say I've seen this before. Cavs were - 10,000.

Gotta question for you. Did you feel odd turning 50? Can't explain it but I kinda did. Last time something like that happened was my 21st b-day.
After 50 I started liking birthdays again, decided I will take every single one I can get.
