Susac optioned (will stay in ARI for a bit, then get every day AB's in Sacto) per Baggs

Excited. Going to be covering River Cats this year so good chance to watch him, Blackburn, Williamson, Parker

Congrats to Trevor Brown on winning the backup gig

And Okert and Law and Lara and Broadway and Gorkys and maybe Arroyo at some point! Should be a fun team this year, congrats on the gig (though I already knew because I follow you on Twitter :D)!

I saw him make one gaff but it might not have been credited as an error, and like Cal said he had three so far. He just doesn't instill confidence in me in the field.

Fair enough. I want to see more of him in AAA then first

Congrats to Trevor Brown on winning the backup gig

I don't think that, if healthy, Susac has lost the primary backup spot. He's just not healthy. But, congrats to Brownie -- he deserves it.

Catching depth is certainly different than it was back in '11/'12...

Great, we will troll for your writing. Are you writing under your real name or something else?
I skimmed the "staff" page, and didnt see him. I am guessing he is using a nom de plume.

Writing under a different name would be kinda fun haha, but I write under my real name. I'm like a young prospect, they are waitig to add me until later so then I can get Super-2 status.

(Will officially be added in late May once college semester ends.)

San Diego can't possibly want him like the rumor says can they?
If they can get him and a good prospect for Shields, I actually think it might work. They are not winning anytime soon, so they might as well get something they can try to market for the time being.

It is hard to market a whale who can't hit or field, but IF they can get a 1.5-2.0 WAR player out him, I think the marketing will follow.

So, Opening Day lineup. We're facing a right-handed pitcher.

CF - Span
2B - Panik
C - Posey
RF - Pence
1B - Belt
3B - Duffy
SS - Crawford
P - Bumgarner
LF - Pagan

I think you could see Duffy batting 3rd, but other than that I think Boch is serious with the pitcher batting 8th. And at this point, if Blanco is giving someone a break, he slots into the 9th spot easily.

I'm friggin stoked for this season to start!
