I liked how he overcame the two early runs to pitch effectively but didn't like that he couldn't find a way to get that last out in the fifth to get the win.

At this point, I wouldn't doubt that DD might try to sign mental midget Daniel Cabrera or Sydney Pontoon to a contract to help round out our pitching staff if they're signing guys like Wandy.

That's a good question. McFarland has been capable. Is Worley on the hot seat? I can't see optioning Givens. Wilson is showing the promise we've all hoped for.

Really, there's no obvious candidate to send down. And Buck has said he's rolling the dice having a thinner bench than usual (Flaherty being the obvious fill-in for Schoop if he were to have an injury). I'd hate to see us DFA Vance purely because there isn't room and he doesn't have options. (Personally, I think Gausman could talk him into getting that Lasik surgery too.. who knows what that could do for his career! lol)

I'd give Gallardo the "Jimenez treatment in 2014" when he comes back (i.e. move him to the bullpen)-- after all, it makes sense to limit his innings until you're sure that he's 100% healthy anyway.

kim is a weak fielder with a weak arm . so if you like kim over trumbo ok dh him .

Rickard is fine in the leadoff spot. Jones and Manny should go 2 and 3 I think. I have no problem with Kim, he just can't find any playing time right now with Rickard doing good, Trumbo in right and Buck still trying to get Alvarez going at DH. And since Reimold hasn't gone on the DL yet and playing decent, he's getting more time as well when Alvarez sits and Trumbo goes to DH.

Since we only have 3 bench spots, i think we need Alvarez on the bench unless someone gets hurt, so that we're not completely tanking the lineup if say JJ or Schoop go down and Buck has to maneuver people around and possibly have to insert the pitcher to hit.

My lineup would look like this:

Rickard RF
Jones CF
Machado 3B
Davis 1B
Trumbo DH
Wieters C
Hardy SS
Schoop 2B
Reimold/Kim LF

Bench - Joseph C, Alvarez 1B/3B, Reimold/Kim OF

I like KIM over Alvarez...Hitting is essential if pitching is going to give up runs, Alvarez doesn't hit/get on base
