Wasn't sure if we should go with this or if the individual series threads are the way to go.

Either way, hoping to get off to a 2-0 start. Anyways, at least we beat the Twins this year, unlike last year. :suds:

Great start to the season, sweeping a team that kicked our ass all of 2015.

It's a tiny sample size... but what happened to our pitching (lowest ERA in the AL so far)? :D

No complaints about this win. Ubaldo was shaky early and settled down after the first couple innings and kept us in the game and then our offense was able to score four unanswered to win the game. Liking what I see from Rickard so far. Just wondering when Kim is going to get a chance to play. Also glad to see that Bundy was actually able to get into the game tonight for an inning (instead of warming in the bullpen again like last night) and looked great, along with O'Day.

Since Kim didn't want to go to the minors for a while, I'd almost bet the O's are hoping he will get frustrated that he isn't playing and he will try to opt out of his contract.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Trumbo at DH, Davis in RF and Alvarez at 1B for a few games.

I think they might go with Rickard in Right Riemold in Left Trumbo DH for a few games here or there. Could also DH Weiters and let Joseph catch a few days a week.

That sounds like intentional sabotage and I seriously doubt Buck would do that.

We have Kim on the roster, we might as well give him a shot. How can he improve if all he's doing is riding the bench?

Or even a lineup where Reimold replaces Alvarez (he's hitting 0.000 / 0.273 / 0.273 from the 3 games so far)...

Indeed. As I've already mentioned in the "25 man roster" thread, you can think of Kim as a de-facto Rule 5 pick who costs $7 million... you can either play him and hope that he improves, or release him ASAP (so that you wouldn't lose more games due to having one fewer player to work with).

Flaherty at 3rd and Manny at SS is kind of surprising. Figured they'd just have Flaherty at SS and keep Manny at 3rd. Wonder how long it'll be before Jones gets put back in the lineup.

edit: looks like it'll be in the next couple days for Jones as I'm assuming it's just precautionary.

kim starts sunday oh wow maybe the starter is a soft tosser . it's good to see the o's have players to sit 2 starters and are still ok . i think that we are going to pitch better than the espn thinks and predicts .

Why is it that you're willing to give Nolan numerous chances year after year to prove he can play the OF and actually stay healthy but Kim has one bad spring training and you want to kick him to the curb?

I like Reimold, but I honestly can't think of a past Oriole (or ANY MLB player for that matter) that's been given so many chances, whether because of injury or off the field issues. It's truly amazing...

And as soon as I say that, he takes Archer deep. See, negative reinforcement works :D

well how many times has nolan owned st and we kept a pie , lough or snider out of options someone that wasn't good enough to make a team as a starter . how many injuries has matt, jj and aj had or all the steve pearse get with those bum wrist . as far as pitchers remember all the starters like jake , brian and d hernandez makes me sad to think of all of them .

it want shock me if nolan does better than both trumbo and pedro for the season . i have been impressed with all the hitters at making pitchers work . part of the nolan thing is he makes our team better no matter where he plays . i pull for him so hard because he is always the under dog (also good )and who doesn't like an underdog ?
