Who do you got?
Couldnt that be said for all active teams?Depends but if it leads to a pennant and World Series, gotta list the Rangers as winners. On the other hand, they could be big losers if their Win Now approach doesn't win now!
hey red sox got abad dammitCouldnt that be said for all active teams?
If the Giants win, they clearly won the deadline.
If the Cubs win, they clearly won the deadline.
If the Indians win, they clearly won the deadline.
If the Dodgers win, they clearly won the deadline.
If the Marlins win, they clearly won the deadline.
If the Blue Jays win, they clearly won the deadline.

The Cubs gave up huge prospects for a rental reliever. You missing the other part of it. Sure, any team that wins it all won the deadline. But how many of them can also say they lost the deadline if they don't?
Look at what Texas gave away to get what they got.
They either win big. Or lose big.
There is no in-between for them.
Yes, so responses with more conviction will earn more points.Couldnt that be said for all active teams?

But I get your point. If the Giants dont win, for example, they still have all three of their purchases next year.
I think we only got one rental in Beltran, and the guys we gave up have a high upside but there are known issues with them. I'll trade a prospect for a known commodity every single time. You missing the other part of it. Sure, any team that wins it all won the deadline. Being "stuck" with Chris Sale and Jose Quintana doesn't make you a loser.Toss up between White Sox and Phillies as the losers. Could have both had a good haul but got greedy and got nothing. Hellickson and Sale won't clear waivers, so they are stuck with them. I guess Philly gets a sandwhich pick when he leaves. ChiSox get to deal with a pissed off Sale for the rest of the year and try again in the offseason to unload him.

Texas hasn't lost Holaday or Wilson yet, that I know of.
I didn't do a deep investigation of each move. But if I saw a player DFA'd, with no corosponding assignment, I included him on the list.Texas hasn't lost Holaday or Wilson yet, that I know of.
