Yes because once we trade for Bradford, we lose power with any Kap trade. Kap trae would have to happen 1st. Im actually ok with this trade because we get a starting QB(basically for a 5th), and then we can go OL in the 1st rd and then a DL/OLB in the 2nd rd. This would improve our team. Im not worried about the 18 mill because we have the most Cap sapace and Kap makes 11.9 mill so we would only be adding 6 mill. Not bad.

I don't want Bradford and would definitely not trade for him. I would rather just stick with Gabbert.

Not me. Reasons 1) He knows Kellys offense, 2) He is better then Gabbert 3) He improves that position and we can draft at another position in the 1st(we are any ways).

Im not a fan of Bradford but overall it makes the 49ers better. So Im ok with it. If Kelly wasn't the coach then I agree I don't want him.

I don't think he is necessarily better than Gabbert. Bradford never did a thing in LA and was always hurt. I bet under Kelly's system Gabbert's numbers will go up too. Plus if we trade for Bradford we would have to take on his ridiculous contract. I think we are better off just sticking with what we have and drafted another one.

Yeah but if we trade Kap it almost evens out. Isn't it only a 2 year deal so if we really want we can cut him after this year or let him go after year 2 after the QB we draft this year in the 2nd or 3rd is ready.

If we trade for him and trade cap our Cap goes from 54 mill to 48 mill. Not a big difference. We still have more ammo for cap space if we let Brooks and Bethea go. We can go back up to 60 mill for next year.

I didn't really expect them to sign him anyway. Baalke doesn't sign good free agents just bums like Beadles, Lewis, and Pears.

This I agree a little too much. 12 mill was my max.

Yeah it was probably too much but when in Free Agency is the team not spending more than people think they should? That's really how it works. I remember back when ESPN had a message board 49er fans were complaining up a storm about the money they spent on Justin Smith and how he wasn't a pass rusher and so on.

How many years are on Bradford's deal?
We can still opt out of Kaepernicks deal after this coming season. Keeping him for 1 more year at this point is to valuable to us to bother trading him for anything other than a 2nd round or high 3rd round pick. Even then it's probably better to just keep him and see if he can turn his career around with Kelly. If Gabbert beats him out and keeping him as a backup is a problem just cut him during the season. I mean yes we eat his salary this year, but giving how much cap space we have who cares? Come next year that won't be a problem.

I think in his dealings with the Bronco's Kaep has kinda of seen his value is pretty low right now. The best move for him is staying with us and working his tail off to learn under Kelly and regain his starter position.

No Bradford please. We're most likely going to be a hot pile for another year...keep what we have at QB for now...take a chance on a QB in the 3/4/5th (I like Hogan//Adams//Cook) and bring them along slowly while we grow intro ourselves again. If Baalke falls flat on this face this year...the process might actually move forward at a faster rate.

Vernon Adams: 'I'm as good as everybody else, or better' in draft

Not pushing for Adams but what happens if he slides to round 6? At that point, he MAY be very good value in Kelly's offense? IF so, i would spend a 6th on Adams, even if we already selected a QB earlier.

this thinking applies to any QB who provides solid value, late. This is one advantage of having 12 picks.
