Culberson recalled by the Dodgers and Aoki by the Mariners(?). I had no idea Aoki had options left. I wonder if it was a misprint and he was on a rehab assignment.

Today, Matt Duffy was both sent to Sacramento for a rehab assignment and designated for assignment by the Texas Rangers. The other Duffy has been dfa'd by both Texas teams this year.

Pretty incredible career for this dude. He just refuses to quit, and it's paid off.

6.0 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 6 Ks.
It seems we don't get lines like that anymore...

In fact in the last 12 games we've had as good or better than that, TWICE.

Is there some kind of hashtag campaign we can start to convey that?

It might not be so painful if the Giants were actually hitting and scoring runs. Their total and complete lack of offense has just magnified the pitching woes of Scrabble.
This streak has been painful. not only have they been losing the 2-1 games, but they have been losing the 10-8 games as well.

Of all the teams we could have ripped off, it had to be the one that we probably got the best value from?

Really, though, this seems to be the Rays whining. Consider:
"It’s not expected that the Rays would send Fox back to the Giants and ask for a different player, since his injury, diagnosed as a contusion, is not considered significant. The Tampa Bay Times report indicated that Fox could miss the final four weeks of the minor league season."
So they want another prospect because a guy had a minor foot injury?!?!:hellno:

I don't know what the big deal is. It is a minor injury. It's not like Fox is knocking on the door to the majors, he's 3-5 years away.

Contrast this to the Red Sox-Padres deal, where, apparently, Pomeranz was dealing with some undisclosed injury and the Red Sox don't seem all that bothered with it.

Minor foot injury, and he was playing through it (and still stealing bases) while with the Giants. Sounds like the Rays are trying to make it sound worse than it really is so they can get that comp.

Probably saw that MLB was looking into the Padres' dealings and saw an opportunity.

This has to be it. The Giants have a good rep, and this is a kid with a very minor injury who is at least 4 years away anyway.

His interviews are usually things that make BoB look like a pessimist, but Marty is interviewing Duffy tomorrow AM. Duffy apparently wants to love on the fans for all their love and support they have shown him since the trade.

This kid really is something special. I hope his clubhouse subtraction will not be a problem. Apparently the players were upset to hear that he was traded.
