The Dirty sponge
Never mind then. First time I have ever been wrong on this board.
I like Riley's age factor. He knows this is his last go right here at being a great Head Coach, and he's gathered years and years of experience, and surrounded himself with years and years of experience on his staff.
The fact is, Riley was perfectly content at Oregon State and there was no reason for him to leave. But he decided to do this because he wants to do something special. There is nothing else in it for Mike at this point. He cannot use this place as a stepping stone as he is too old. This is his final destination and he's pulling out all the stops.
Why in the almighty hell would a guy move from Oregon where he and his family are as happy as can be to the frozen tundra of Nebraska where we are stuck in the distant shadows of the early to mid 90's? There is nothing here for him except an opportunity to rebuild a program.
Riley wants his name to go down in history as being important to the game of football and he knows this is his chance to do it.
I love that about him. Bo was here to build his resume for future jobs. Fact.
Just want ta give some props ta Footballnut fer continual updates on recruting en sech. Best ta ye and yourns and thank you.
I honestly don't even believe in 5-star players. If I was a recruiter, I'd probably stay away from every 5-star recruit out there because they're all going to be brainwashed before they ever play, and then there is a buttload of pressure to perform once they do get there.
I would take 15 4-star players over 15 5-star players. I truly wood.
You'll take your three 4-stars, twelve 3-stars, three 2-stars, and like it bech.
Three 4-stars during the Bo years is being generous. His entire teams were built around 3-stars and 1 or so very overrated 4-stars (anyone with the last name "Green").
Per Scout.com

2012 - Three 4-stars, eleven 3-stars (49th)
2013 - Nine 4-stars, fifteen 3-stars (11th)
