For Schweitzer, Nebraska was a place holder until he got his dream offer from Notre Dame. Michigan wanted Grimes.

Michigan makes top 5 for 3-star Florida athlete

Yessir! that's a big get... #1 TE in the country, needed to beat out LSU for him. Covid actually may have helped in this case. Not often you can say that for us this cycle.

James Carnie... TE out of Nebraska makes Commit #19 for the Huskers for this class. He was offered late last week, prior to that, the thought was he was going to KSU or ISU. Makes two in-state TE commits for the class, along with Council Bluffs TE Thomas Fidone

Hey guys... been gone a while, but signing day is this Wednesday. I expect most of the class to sign. I will be pretty busy wednesday morning. I'm not sure if we're expecting any surprises or signing day commitments. things are pretty quiet and there's a few guys that Nebraska is in on that might wait till February to sign. I'll have a big board for those guys soon.

The name to watch on Wednesday isn't a Nebraska commit... it's Avante Dickerson... there's a serious amount of chatter that he migh renig on his Minnesota commitment and flip to Nebraska. The loss on Saturday may have thrown a wrench into that, BUT he has a lot of friends going to Nebraska. So we'll see. If he doesn't sign with Minnesota on Wednesday there's a shot Nebraska flips him before February.
