Which free agents will Giants bring back?

The discussion about the free agents from the team pretty much confirm our suspicions - except for Blanco and Gordon Beckham!?!?! I really hope he's wrong about Beckham. No, no, no, no, no.
I just don't see space for Beckham. We have EA and KT, both of whom I like better anyway.

Well, the blurb about Beckham said a key member of the clubhouse personally asked if he could return. If Kelby still gets a spot in the end, then whatever. He probably won't be anything more than a non-roster invite, and he'll probably have a handful of those to choose from so he might not even choose to be here.

I wonder if that key person was Pence.

That the first name that came to mind but then I figured Pence feels lonely in that clubhouse at times and wanted another wild personality.
Is Beckham a wild-child?

So, it sounds like Phil Nevin will be our 3rd base coach if he's not hired as the D-Backs manager.

Nevin played under Bruce Bochy from '95-'06. Most recently, Nevin has been the manager of the Reno Aces.

A QUICK glance at the doggies off-season picture...

FA
Anderson
Jansen
Utley
Reddick
Howell
Hill
Turner
Blanton
Chavez

And they already have $182M on the books. I know they have bottomless pockets, but how long does that last?

Well, the Giants are going to approach dodger territory spending wise I think. Both teams going about as high as they can before exceeding the tax line.

I would think that they focus on Jansen, Hill, Turner and maybe either Utley or Reddick.

The CBA will be huge in a couple weeks. I am very excited to see what changes are coming.

I haven't been paying any attention to talk about the CBA. What changes are you expecting?
The international market has gotten a lot of talk (see sfgrtb's post) and so has the lux cap. The cap is expected to go up, but I haven't heard any numbers mentioned. The QO system will likely be tweaked, but I haven't heard any rumors about how. I would LIKE to see a floor implemented, but I seriously doubt we will see that.

Thanks guys, now I'm more knowledgeable. It will be interesting to see how these shake out.
