Looks like Cain, Blach and maybe even Beede will compete for the 5th spot next spring - Giants notes: No move for Posey; six-starter plan. Suarez isn't in the mix, but I have to wonder if he pushes the issue if the three others don't look good in spring and he pitches incredibly.

I just don't see space for Beckham. We have EA and KT, both of whom I like better anyway.

Well, the blurb about Beckham said a key member of the clubhouse personally asked if he could return. If Kelby still gets a spot in the end, then whatever. He probably won't be anything more than a non-roster invite, and he'll probably have a handful of those to choose from so he might not even choose to be here.

So, it sounds like Phil Nevin will be our 3rd base coach if he's not hired as the D-Backs manager.

Nevin played under Bruce Bochy from '95-'06. Most recently, Nevin has been the manager of the Reno Aces.

Well, the Giants are going to approach dodger territory spending wise I think. Both teams going about as high as they can before exceeding the tax line.

International signings is probably a big thing. Deciding whether to have a draft, or change the current system.
