i thought there was a chance for fed to go out before making it to wawrinka, but gasquet beating berdych took care of that.

i like wawrinka's chances against fed a lot, needless to say. fed's backhand hasn't really been challenged yet, but if waws or cilic/nole go after it consistently in match, it will break down badly.

hope fed keeps playing at his current level, beats wawrinka, and that nole and cilic beat the shit out of each other in their match. would LOVE to see fed win that one last major.

Listen carefully to Azarenka's screech (no way it's a grunt).

When she hits a good shot it goes on almost until the opponent hits a return.

When she hits it poorly or into the net, she cuts it short.

And I will agree she does this consistently......

So again, if the point of the thing is about power, or focusing of mind and power, or whatever the hell it's supposed to be about, why cut it short sometimes, but only when you miss-hit?

Haters are always gonna hate. Even Steffi knows this era is much more difficult than hers when even #100 serves faster than number 5 during the time when she had a walk-over Chris Evert who vomited throughout and Sabatini who would have been shellacked by any of the top 5, in 1988.
