Two years ago, Zverev beat Alcaraz in the QFs. Zverev is probably wishing he had played like that, yesterday.

Feel bad for Zverev. Very Similar to Goran. Will be happy when he finally wins one.

Are you referring to FED's period after 2012 Wimbledon, and before 2017 Australian Open, when he was trying for #18?

FED did get very close. Played in several finals in between.
Twice Fed was one match away from the Grandslam. Only guy that stopped him those two years was Nadal at the French.

Calendar wise, yes, in 2006, 2007.

4 in a row could have been done from 2005 Wimbledon - 2006 FO, or 2006 Wimbledon - 2007 FO, too.

Or 2008 US Open - 2009 Wimbledon, if he had gotten the 2009 AO.

Nadal could have had 4 in a row if he either hadn't lost at the 2010 AO to Andy Murray, or the 2011 AO to David Ferrer.

I also feel bad for Andy Murray, who lost in the AO Finals 5 times (2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, 2016).

When he lost in 2011 to Djokovic, it was considered a bad loss, because Djokovic had only won one major before, 3 years ago in 2008.

And Murray had already lost at the 2008 USO Finals, and 2010 AO Finals. So the opportunities were slipping by.

When the match stats are available, I want to see the unforced errors for Alcaraz vs. Sinner, and Alcaraz vs. Zverev.

The stats for winners and unforced errors are available now.

Alcaraz vs. Sinner:

Alcaraz: 61 winners, 60 unforced errors.
Sinner: 39 winners, 45 unforced errors.

Alcaraz vs. Zverev:

Alcaraz: 71 winners, 61 unforced errors.
Zverev: 53 winners, 50 unforced errors.

Alcaraz hits a lot more winners than his opponents. He also commits a lot of unforced errors. But the high number of winners probably helps him more.
