FED won the 1st set tiebreak 7-0. Amazing to see 2 7-0 tiebreaks in a day.

2nd set tiebreak, Isner had a 5-3 lead. FED pulled it out 8-6.

He had 3 amazing returns in that set, one off a 140 mph serve, one off a 128 mph serve, then the set point one.

No breaks of serve in this match.

I think this is the best FED vs. Isner matchup that I've seen. Great match by both players.

And I like how there's been break chances by both players. I don't like it sometimes when neither player can get a break chance. It makes the service games too one-sided.

It's not that he dropped the first set. It is the 7-0 in the tiebreak that ticks me off. Losing 7-4 or something.....put up a fight and make fed work for the set in that tiebreak

I felt the same about James Blake.

For a guy who does not break serve much at all, Isner does a poor job of winning tie breaks. When you're a player like Isner who has a lot of trouble breaking serve you gotta do well in the tiebreaks

He actually has the 2nd highest active career tiebreak %.

He just can't win them against the top players.

I can't find a link to the current stats, but they show them during just about every Isner match.

What is the difference? I am not so sure, but I think Vika's grunts are pretty much consistent.

Listen carefully to Azarenka's screech (no way it's a grunt).

When she hits a good shot it goes on almost until the opponent hits a return.

When she hits it poorly or into the net, she cuts it short.

And I will agree she does this consistently......

So again, if the point of the thing is about power, or focusing of mind and power, or whatever the hell it's supposed to be about, why cut it short sometimes, but only when you miss-hit?

Azarenka's shriek is legitimate and helps her with consistent timing. She'll cut it short when she mishits it because a mishit throws off her timing anyways and she needs to readjust. You can tell Azarenka's shriek is legitimate because she does it when she hits in practice. Certain other players (cough Sharapova cough) don't.

Pretty easy to turn your tv. I'm not one big on pre game/pre match shows.

Instead of bitching about it, pretty fucking easy to watch something else until the match starts.

And just for the record the only matches going on are not on tv courts and they're boy matches. What channel has ever shown junior matches at a Grand Slam? You make zero sense

Liked the way Anderson played yesterday and think he has a real chance versus Stan. Fed is still cruising and getting some breaks in this tourney with many of the lefties and big topspinners going out. Lopez is the last one I believe. Cilic is heating up again. Quality tennis for sure.

The Womens tennis continues to be brutal. Lisicki must have had close to 100 errors against Halep who is pretty much toast for this tourney. Wont bother watching Venus laying down for Serena. Maybe watch the finals and that's it.
