Bowden's grade was barely better than the SportingNews' Jesse Spector, who gave Texas a C-, but Bowden was much nicer.

Spector wrote "Texas appears stuck in between being the team that thought Prince Fielder was the missing piece last winter and being the team that sits in the doldrums until prospects like Joey Gallo are ready to contribute."

I hate to say it, but the Kirkman thing is sickening. This organization gives guys way too many damn chances. I'm all for a guy getting a second chance, but this is pro sports! The team needs to quit doling out 3rd, 4th, and even 5th chances. I hope the reason is a managerial change and Bannister wants to give all of the guys a fair shot. Kirkman and MM would have been jettisoned by most competent organizations by now.

And it certainly appears you don't feel this is a "competent" organization. Frankly, if I felt this way, I'd be an Astros fan (someone else anyway). Have you considered a move?

Moreland and Kirkman are not in the same situation at all. Mitch would have to be here another 5 years and have a very limited amount of success while doing so to be in Kirkman's situation.
