I actually thought he did fine in LF.

His firsts few games were an adventure but he seemed to be getting comfortable out there as he got more playing time.

I didn't hear the Levine interview yesterday but Bacsik is making it seem today as though Thad has Detwiler in the bullpen and not in the rotation.

I hope that is not true or at least Detwiler is given every opportunity to start. His stats show he is not as effective out of the pen and another LH starter would be good.

Ludwick isn't a good name to bring up to replace a guy because he is injured too often.

Also, if you replace Moreland you really need to replace him with someone who can play a good 1B and who has some power.

I feel the Rangers certainly lead Detwiler to feel he had an opportunity to start here. Or else, I don't think he would have signed here.

They traded for him so it wouldn't be a case of them misleading him to get him here.

Evan mentioned with Norm this afternoon that Detwiller will get every opportunity to win a starting job. So I imagine at the end if he doesn't then he probably just didn't pitch well enough.

I think it will come down to where they need him the most kind of like it did with Feliz the first time they let him pitch as a starter in camp. He pitched well enough to win a starting spot, but they said they needed him more in the pen. Detwiler has less of an upside in the pen than Feliz did, but he also has less of an upside as a starter. I think Detwiler has to out-pitch his competition and a really good left handed relief candidate has to emerge for Detwiler to start in 2015. If both of those things happen then he gets put into the rotation. Should one of them not happen he probably gets put into the pen. As of now, I think the latter has a greater chance of happening.

I think when they acquired another stating candidate in Renaudo that it signaled they had not decided on a 5th starter yet.

At this point, I'd much rather see what transpires at ST, and perhaps even wait until mid-season to make any decisions of this caliber.

It stood out to me at FanFest that Prince had his whole family with him during his time there. From the article it sounds like he's in a good place right now, and I'm looking forward to a full season of the big guy.

Maybe it's all of us just being hopeful. But I swear, for some reason, I think Prince has had a little bit of an awakening, in that, he now knows this wonderful life of being a baseball player is fleeting at best.

Perhaps he truly appreciates the blessings he's had, and will do whatever he can, to continue his dream-like life in the game.

I sure hope so. For him, and us.

seeing that the Rangers are bring 11 Outfielders to ST (not counting Moreland). Choice, Choo, DeShields, Hoying, Ludwick, Martin, Peguero, Richardson, Rua, Schierholtz and Smolinski. should be an interesting competition for 5 spots
