Of course LA wants to get rid of him, and maybe for several reasons. One of which is perhaps he's damaged goods.

I really don't understand how or why we would be interested in him. Doesn't a player have to pass a physical in order to seal the deal? He won't be able to do that for months, so this whole conversation - from the Ranger point of view - is making little to no sense to me.

I'm thinking if he is being shopped as much as he is, then he must be healthier than the reports suggest. He wouldnt be in these trade conversations unless he could pass physicals/take an MRI without problems, etc. Maybe he is only still in a boot as a precaution, because I read multiple articles today that contradicted the reports that he wont be ready for ST.

Also, Carl Crawford could hit leadoff if you want him too. It would kill so many birds. Great outfielder, great hitter, and great leadoff

He carries the same concerns as Kemp without all the talent, injury prone and overpriced

Career .332 OBP also makes him not ideal for leadoff, for that you might as roll with Martin + potential growth
