Ugh I can care less if he comes here. I'm not a Bartolo hater

I don't hate him, but if he's not in shape then he might actually collapse in the Texas heat if he has to field a groundball.

Good day for morbidly obese pitchers apparently. As far as our team goes, I'd like to see us explore deals for Broxton and Sandoval. They would fit in perfectly with our other offseason additions of Bengie Molina, Prince Fielder, and (possibly) Bartolo Colon.

LOL apparently the fanbase wants a dome with an A/C, because Texas would get 4 million fans if that happened.

Texas drew 3.4 MM in 2012. I don't think it being hot is what stopped them from hitting 4MM. 2008 was the last time ANY major league team hit 4MM fans. And it has not happened outside of the city of New York since before at least 2001, because I don't have data going back farther than that with me.

When you're winning and you have an elite level team fans will come. But when you're middle of the road at best attendance hurts even more when you're in horrid summer conditions in Arlington. Yes I do think a retractable roof located where the DART rail runs right into would be an ideal fit for the team. Let's not forget they play 81 games a year and play games where they play multiple home games in a row. I do believe long term that should be the goal. Not to mention you can get a bulk of Collin County fan base back as well as tapping into more corporations.

I have no desire to see the Rangers leave Arlington.

If signing Colon guaranteed us a WS win and he had an important part in it would you take it? I sure as hell would. While I don't like him all that much, if he can truly help us then I'm open to it.

I think the odds are much higher that they sign him and he falls off a cliff, because he's not pitching in at the bottom of the Grand Canyon any longer.
