He had better be healthy or the FO would be ridiculed forever, and many should lose their jobs. I have a feeling they would stake their reputation on a trade like that. Or at least they better be willing to do so.

You say that an ankle shouldn't be lingering, but I remember Kinsler having that built in excuse for a few years.

95 million while still a hell of a lot of money, is a much better deal than 128.

i think we just go with what we have now at leadoff. EA or martin. That lineup is an absolute monster.

Only reason I switched mitch and Rios were to prevent 3 righties in a row. But either way

Martin's .315 OBP is pretty ugly in the leadoff spot and Elvis has proven to not very good in that spot

Within 5 years I expect them to be top 5 in value. I believe they paid about 600 million in 2010. Pretty good ROI and will continue to rise.

So to totally reshash. I slept on it and thought again about Kemp. His shoulder worries me something fierce. He relied totally on his athleticism to be dominate. To me it's not that different from Ellsbury now. He will be really good when on the field, but you just do not know how much time he will make it on the field. For that I would pass and go a safer route.

yes, a good recovery...nice to read, this is where I got the Billion....So the value of team itself is agreed upon by Forbes (your link) and Bloomberg (mine) but this was counting other revenue
