Not to mention a better arm. Funny thing is Ichiro has about the same stats as Gardner, less OBP but Ks half as much as Gardner and 10 years older. The guy is hanging in there and still has a good arm. Not sure what Gardner's salary will be this year as it was 2.875 mill last year and Ichiro's is 6.5 mill. Not saying we should go for either just comparing since the Yankees would be willing to get rid of either one.

I forgot about Brett's arm. Isn't it poor. Kinda like Crisp or Trout.

If you are against kemp and cano, then there is no feasible way that this team is going to be better than the a's this next season. They have gotten better, and the only move we have made is prince. There aren't any impact players besides choo on the market. We aren't going to stand pat, but if we were this team is not better. And trading for EE is not going to fill our need in the outfield. I would rather have moreland dh and sign an all around good player then have a young guy who isnt ready play left and have EE DH

What is the latest on Roy Halladay? I know he had surgery at the beginning of last year and rehabbed and then pitcher for a short time and stopped with arm fatigue. Does anyone know if he is ready to pitch at a high level again or is he done at age 36?

Its not crazy ideas, its trying to make the team better. We get better with both ideas of EE and kemp. But with Kemp we kill two birds with one stone by getting an outfielder who is great at defense and even better than EE on offense. You get EE, then you got a rock at dh for a while, but you got a young unproven dude in the outfield AND at second base. Not about that.

Also, AND I KNOW THIS IS A MINOR FACTOR, but you get kemp, he fills those seats up pretty damn quick. I know that of late we havent really needed it, but still he does that more than EE

Terps can you guarantee tonight that Kemp is 100% healthy with no lingering ailments that would cause him to miss any time on the field after signing him for $ 130 mil? If you can , we need to sign him.
