Matt Kemp is expensive. He's not worth the risk if he's not going to play. This isn't to say I would not want him on my team. But wanting him on my team is certainly not enough when you need to factor just how much he'll be on the field and how much he'll get deposited into his bank account.

Like I said earlier, I think we've already taken on somewhat of a risk in Fielder. Not from the perspective of being injured but how his body and bat speed is going to hold up in 3-4 years. We don't need to risks each valued at 130+ million.

Those aren't his career AVGs. That's what he would AVG per year if he played all 162, which he doesn't. He's only played more than 103 once. He's actually only hit 83 HR's in 9 years.

Fair enough, but he'd be full time DH here which would keep him healthier. When he kills it next year, remember you heard it here first.

Agree. Lainey's post suggest he didn't play in the last part of the season due to multiple injures. A healthy Kemp is a no brainer but he just has to many problems to gamble the money.

Kinda off topic, but ya know Fielder looked more fit than I expected during his presser.

When he's in regular clothes and not the baggy uniform, yes he is more fit than people probably think.
Not saying the guy isn't overweight, but it's not all blubber, he's just a big dude all around

Gardner would be a pretty nice LF lead off guy. Morse/hart would only DH and occasionally spell Prince at 1st

not 20, IF they stay at what they stated....TR Sullivan and Grant have both written about what's left to spend
