Ya and harrison missed the entire season. I don't see your point. Kemp is healthy and he has been for awhile. He was even healthy for the postseason but LA wanted to go with what they had.

and that rings no alarms bells for you?
respectively...

It just tells me that they were the best team in baseball in the second half of 2013 and they probably didnt want to change anything. I think he was healthy, but they didn't want to make changes

Like I said, I think DH's should be older guys who are shorter term and cheap. I dont think they should be average aged guys who just suck so bad at everything else that they DH

Yeah I couldn't disagree more. If that's what he's good at and makes less than 10 MM I want him at DH.

Lol okay...that's why they used MY to pinch hit and fail so hard they got bounced.

if it aint broke, dont fix it.

I'd rather LA eat some of the cash for the next 2 years and then sign kendrys morales to a 2 year deal to dh during those years.

If he was ready he would be playing somewhere and there was certainly room for him someplace.

I would like to have EE, Kemp, Braun, CarGo, Bautista, Cruz, Morales, or anyone else that upgrades this below average offense. I'm getting a strong feeling that if it's not a LAD OFer that JD will go into next year hoping the young guys step up. He might pick up a cheap DH and go with Choice in LF. If this is the case then I'm not sure I will back JD anymore.

When you got puig crawford and ethier having the years they are having its tough to find a spot for him. As good as kemp is, the fact is they started playing better the second half of last year. More because of coincidence, but still you dont change the lineup if it is as successful as they were.

If that be the case the young guys may step up but if not JD won't get much support IMO.

I still hope he isn't. Morse plays less than Kemp.

He also costs considerably less money, no prospects and most importantly...he's available. His 2013 was terrible and that undoubtedly concerns some, but I think it has more to do with Safeco than his lack of talent.

His career averages are pretty damn solid for a DH
.281 avg .334 Obp .473 slug 23 hr 77 RBI

Either we get Kemp or Choo, I'll bet we still see a lot of Mr. Choice.

Those aren't his career AVGs. That's what he would AVG per year if he played all 162, which he doesn't. He's only played more than 103 once. He's actually only hit 83 HR's in 9 years.
