Choo and Cruz both. I want EE to be DH and never play an inning of defense.

So you'd rather trade prospects for a dh then trade the same prospects for someone like matt kemp or ryan braun? Then we could sign an older DH to a short term deal. Even if it was someone like raul ibanez

Is Braun even a possibility anymore with them trading Aoki?

No, braun probably isn't realistic, but I know for a fact kemp is. But I don't want ibanez, he was just an older guy that came to mind.

Still, plenty of good older hitters that I'd be fine with signing a 1-2 year deal on just to DH. Just like we did with berkman, except hopefully better and not a huge choad.

Why would I want Texas to throw money away on Kemp? The Braun trade is pure fantasy and is never happening. EE is gonna take ML level talent. You have to give to get.

No I don't want decrepit ugly as fuck Ibanez for anything.

They might do both. Price isn't signing an extension so he won't cost a fortune for 2 years. The M's are willing to blow money for a chance to contend.

He's a 5 tool player who had injury problems the last year and a half, but its not long enough for me to say "he's always hurt." When he is on the field, he would easily be the second best outfielder in our division

Matt Kemp cannot stay on the field. I don't give a damn how good he is when he's there if he's playing less than 100 games. Give me 150 games of EE over 115 of Kemp for the price. Texas doesn't need a LF so badly hat they do something stupid like the Angels and trade for Vernon Wells 2.0.

My preference is still Choo to give us an OF and lead off hitter with some pop and Morales as DH since he is a switch hitter and I am sure he will cost less than Cruz. But the price is getting so high that the Kemp contract is going to look good after the dust settles.

Since Matt Kemp has been an everyday player, he has only had one season of less than 100 games. But as I said before, just because he has had trouble with injuries over the past season and a half, doesnt mean I'm ready to say that he gets hurt all the time. He is a damn good player. And I would much rather have an all around good defender, decent speed, and a FANTASTIC hitter then just a great hitter. Without a doubt, that would be my preference.

I would much rather trade for Kemp his upside is huge.Don't like EE at all we need a outfielder and a left handed DH IMO
