It's not Miles I'm worried about. It's the play calling and the cohesion of the line at this point.

And while the front 7 was the issue last week, it will be that secondary that is going to have its hands full this week. That QB for them can throw the rock and they are going to come right after that young unit out there.

Yep our secondary is in for a workout. Opportunity for Budda to bring the pain!

Vernon can also take off. I hope he does and manages to get himself meat hooked by Shaq or Feeney.

Football game on Saturday morning, but the real light show will be tomorrow night.

The geomagnetic storm happening because of those CME's from the sun earlier this week are expected to create an aurora visible as far south as northern California.

Heading up to Mt Rainier as soon as we get home from work.

I no longer have concerns over the Husky offense after two straight high-scoring performances. It was nice to see the defense have a bounce back game this week. We'll see how they fair against Pac-12 offenses now. It's possible we could see a lot of shootouts like we saw against Eastern.

Hard to say if the defense really bounced back, or if Illinois is just that fucking horrible, but I think it's closer to the latter than the former.

It was a win, that's all that matters to me. This is a work in progress, defense tighten up and got some huge turn overs, yes they gave up 19 points, but the offense was rolling, I'm excited, and with some Pac teams losing or having close games I'm excited, I still think the Dawgs pull a upset on one or two of these top tier teams...

With word that Jermaine Kelly is now out for the season UW is now left with 5 scholarship CB's on the roster. 3 are true freshmen.

This secondary is going to be a huge problem all year.

I'd rather have a tough stretch like that early than at the end of the season when you are more tired, likely have more injuries, and when the top teams are more dialed into what they do.

The way the schedule works we flip flop every two years between USC and UCLA getting one of them at home and away and then back to the other. We have UCLA at home this year after going their last year. It was USC's turn and it's not a shock it was there first.

It means USC will for sure be here at Husky stadium in the '16 season which is fine by me. Gives us two years for Petersen to build a team worthy of given that punk ass team the shellacking they deserve. You can bet the fans will be all over Sark for that game and I'm sure it will impact him. He seemed to care a lot about his legacy here and he ensured most of the fans here will not let him forget how he went about leaving this team. He will never hear anything but loud boos every time he ever sets foot on that field again and rightfully so.

I mean don't get me wrong, I'm not heartbroken that he's gone and we have Petersen, ( I just did a back flip)

But I as well feel there is gonna be some fans that let him hear just how upset there are with him and his exit style, its understandable to make changes in your life, but to lie and say you want to be here as long as coach James, well that's screwed up....

No game thread, so I'll say this here: Cyler Miles throws about the ugliest ball I've seen this side of Tim Tebow.

He is really hot and cold at times and when he's off he is just fucking terrible at even routine passes. And if I see one more slow floating screen pass I'm going to shoot somebody.

Post game interviews, every player they interviewed said they took that team too lightly in the first half and didn't bring the energy.

If that's true, that's on the coaches isn't it? And how the fuck does it take all the way to half time for them to wake the fuck up? I mean give them credit for coming out in the second half and playing the way they should have all along, but that team cannot take a whole half to make adjustments.

And how about the first TD going to Lindquist. Bringing him in and it wasn't in garbage time. Even Troy got a few snaps late, but that was for sure garbage time.

Really don't see this team being ready for Stanford as inconsistent as they have been. Miles doesn't look like he can be that effective as a down field passer yet and I don't see them getting any real rushing game on them. We will see.

I don't think they'll have an issue with overlooking Stanford. If you can't get up for your first game in conference play, against a ranked opponent, at home, there's a problem. I suspect they'll be ready to play hard from the opening kickoff. If playing Stanford at home isn't enough to wake them up, the stretch of three road games in four weeks, including the game at Oregon, ought to do it.
