tough to argue with that. i think wilson deserves 5ish, but what he did was significantly less aggregious than what kneel did. he'll have a hard time justifying a harsher punishment on wilson. even a similar punishment really

These decisions seem to be taking longer and longer. I have a feeling they are at the crossroads at NHL head quarters and these situations are being reviewed by more than one or two people. Shanny is still the voice but there is something going on in the back ground. Maybe because of the NFL lawsuit and pending NHL one? Must be something to it because they were being made faster in the past.

And therein lies the problem.

How do you give some of these hits 10 games when Thornton only got 15, Kneel only got 5, etc.

The player safety department has fucked this up beyond repair. They need a fresh start.

As a Penguin I hope he takes the rest of the season to make a decision, meaning Engelland must sit out until then.

Wilson should, in a "perfect" world get around 7 or so...but yeah, based on the other suspensions, it doesn't look good for that. HOWEVER, how does Neal get a phone call, and 5 games, and Engelland get an in person? I didn't like the hit at all, but based on some other stuff that's been thrown around, he's probably "due" 2-5 games. It's really getting bizarre.
