Where do these guys play next year, if multi-level jumps, give a % if you like

Leonys Martin: ML/AAA
Mike Olt: ML/AAA (here to stay)
Jorge Alfaro: A+/AA
Kellin Deglan: A+/AA
Rougned Odor: A+/AA
Joey Gallo: A-/A+ (if he plays in the fall league he might start at A+ and finish at AA)
Jurickson Profar: AAA/ML (maybe Sep callup)
Nomar Mazara: A-
Engel Beltre: AAA (gone)
Ronald Guzman: A-
Zach Cone: A+/AA
Lewis Brinson: A-
Leury Garcia: AAA
Luis Sardinas: A+/AA
Nick Williams: A- (jumped over by Alfaro)
Jamie Jarmon: A-
Alberto Triunfel: A-
Jordan Akins: A-/A+

Congrats again ... lots of thought put into his posting too like the earlier one. Need to make another review to assess the pitchers. Have bolded the ones I agree with or have comment on. BTW what happened to Martin and Olt ... are you projecting them to start 2013 @ ML but finish at AAA?

Olt will only get to be a ML contributor in the immediate future if Wash is fired. He needs to be let go.

Olt has a future in the ML but rushing him is foolhardy. give the kid a chance to get his feet firmly on the ground or we'll end up with another Davis or Smoak

That's bull crap. At least give the kid a chance to play. I'll counter your Davis and smoak with trout and Harper. Am I saying he's a Trout/Harper? Of course not. But bringing him up and letting him rot on the bench does him zero good. If they didn't think he was ready. And if you're concerned about bringing him along too quickly you don't bring him up. Especially when you're playing a guy every day that is actually costing the team wins.

and so you bench someone and let him play. where? DH doesn't make sense so you have to play him at either 1st or 3rd. so do you bench Moreland or put beltre at DH 3 or 4 times a week to give him playing time?

Please explain to me why dh doesn't make sense... And don't say he's too young to dh.

it has nothing to do with age. it has to do with the fact of sitting on the bench, going out to hit and then going back to the bench until his next at-bat. he needs reps at 3rd and/or 1st to develop

So I'll ask you again. Yes or no?

You think it's better for Olt to rot on the bench 5 days a week than get an extra 2-3 starts a week by getting at bats as dh?

Yes or no?

That wasn't the question. He's here and that's what we have to go on. So answer the question in that context. Yes or no?

Just think they'll spend some time in AAA

i would not use him at DH, period. he would still be, as you put it, rotting on the bench except during his 3 or 4 at-bats. i want him on the field at least 3 to 5 times a week playing at 3rd or at 1st. is that going to happen here? No not with Beltre & Moreland ahead of him.

Then you're as big of an idiot as Wash is. I'm sorry but only a moron would think a player would be better served losing at bats by sitting on the bench as opposed to getting at bats by hitting as the dh 2-3 times a week. That tells me all I need to know about your baseball knowledge.

only an idiot thinks DH'ing is the same as playing in the field. Olt needs to be ON THE FIELD, any idiot can see that. Trout and Harper are doing exactly what they should be, playing the field. they have the advantage of playing a position on their team that allows them to get maximum playing time. it is not all about bats it's about using all the tools.

i think he is the real thing and has all the tools and i want him where he can use all of those tools and unlike your thinking moron that is not languishing in the dugout as a DH. DH is for 1-tool players not Mike Olt's

That's not the point you moron. You actually believe its better for him to rot on the bench and only get 1-2 starts a week when he plays in the field as opposed to getting at bats as the dh 3 days a week as well. Yes, he needs to develop his fielding but if his days in the field aren't going to increase. You're a moron if you don't think time in the batters box will help him develop. Regardless of whether it comes as dh or not.

Wait, are you Ron Washington? Because it seems like I'm talking to a brick wall here.

His hit tool is under part of his game that most needs to develop, so while being in the field is preferable, he would certainly benefit from AB's no matter where they're coming from whether out be while DHing or in the field

How is this elementary concept not obvious to everyone? Scotty and Wash included. It's really not a difficult concept to grasp.

will you get thru your head AH, i don't believe he should be rotting on the bench. i believe he needs to be at AAA getting the reps and not up here with the Rangers. no matter what i say, AH, you have convinced yourself that i think he should nailed to the bench at the BPaA which is the furthest thing from the truth.

Yes DA, and we've already discussed the context of the conversation being that he is up here and what would you prefer since he is up here? To get some additional AB's as dh or sit on the bench except for when he gets a couple of fielding starts. To which you responded, "I wouldn't have him dh period." DA. The entire context of the conversation was Olt's role on this team right now. Yet you continue to ignore that and throw assinine statements out there you can't possibly support with logic. DA.

But that is exactly what Wash did to Borbon in 2009 when he came up from AAA. He had Borbon DHing over half the time. Was more productive in the spot than was Hank Blalock (remember him?)

I platoon Olt with Moreland and given him one 3b start and one DH start a week.

Simple as that.
