Young trade to the phillies is picking up steam.

i could live with this: Young + 8M to Philly for a young ML reliever and a prospect. from the sounds of it all it would take is him waiving his 10-5 rights

Any interest in Brian Wilson? Word is he should be cleared by ST and could come reasonably since hes coming off surgery.

well, we could push the 3-team trade (Texas, Arizona & Cleveland) where Arizona gets Cabrera from Cleveland, Texas gets Upton and Cleveland gets Olt, Perez and a second level prospect. that's a very productive trade for all sides.

Seattle is involved in one of those 4 team rumors. They want Holland.
Interestingly, they WANT Texas to get Upton....so that they can sign Hamilton.

the Dbacks are really pissing me off with their demands of us including Andrus or Profar....no way on earth is Upton's value worth either one of those guys, plus, if they acquire Cabrera in a trade then why should we still have to give Andrus or Profar?

That's fine. I just hope he realizes, and this isn't a threat, that he isn't the best option for us and will be used sparingly all season.

I thought with Cabrera on the table for them they didn't want Andrus or Profar. BTW, Upton IS worth one of those two guys to them.

very true, if he wants playing time he will need to be traded, he could play 3B for the Phillies and give the other infielders days off.

1. They only want Andrus or Profar if its a 2 team trade.... if Cabrera is involved, that demand goes away.

2. Upton is good. Year before last (he was playing hurt most of last season) he was in the running for MVP. He's 25 and could produce really great numbers if healthy.

Plus, if you have the player someone wants - why not ask for what you want/need?

Rangers get: Upton
