don't know maybe because some think Stanton is a stud with major potential. but i don't care one way or the other, i'll wait and see what JD and Nolan have planned

I think he was referring to Logan Morrison...

Yep I was. And I covet Stanton. Nobody is untouchable for Stanton.

I don't trade Profar for Stanton, I think he's even more special

Stanton mashes, sure, but nothing else really seems that special about him

He's a really good young player that has tons of power, but outside of his power nothing screams special at all

We should have enough ammo for two big trades. If Hamilton is gone I'd go after JUpton in one trade and either Price or Shields in the other. Sign FA LaRoche. A catcher and a couple arms in the pen.

I'd be willing to have Upton, Beltre and LaRoche at 345 in the order and improve our rotation.

Its one thing to say it, it another to rationalize it through actual proposals,

to tell the truth, I don't think we have the ammo to do both, not without crippling the farm system in a far too negative of a fashion

I don't believe Profar will get the chance with ole coke head at the helm. Neither will Olt.

I agree with this. Those are two fairly short term trades with fairly long term ramifications. We've got enough ammo for one big trade. Hopefully we don't have to give up Profar to make it happen.

Andrus being our best piece would get one of them and a combination of current players and specs the other. I think we could get Shields without giving up Andrus.

I can see that being true for Olt, but Profar is far too young for even Washington to screw that up

Kid has yet to even play an inning of AAA ball

Andrus isn't a player they would be interested in anyway, far too expensive going forward

Going to AZ for Upton... maybe, but I think we get the raw end of that deal

To me, there is NO trade worth giving up on Profar unless you are getting an insane amount of talent in return, and thats not Upton, Gordon, Shields or Stanton

As long as we have Kinsler, Andrus and Beltre in front of them, neither is going to see much playing time at the BPaA and it has little to do with Wash being there.

Price is the only guy i would consider giving Profar for but i rather see if they'd take Andrus first

Andrus is gone in the next 2 years, there's your opening for Profar

I would really consider turning loose of Profar for Stanton. It's scary to think what he'd do at rbia.

They wouldn't want Andrus, he's getting expensive, thats why that trade doesn't make sense

Andrus' money is set at 11MM total for the two years. Price will continue to climb since he's arb eligible and expected to climb to close to 10MM this year alone so yes they would consider 2 yrs. of Andrus for 3 years of Price. We would probably have to sweeten the pot a little.

I'm telling you they will not deal for Andrus, its not the way they operate, never has been

They don't trade for guys with escalating salaries
