The braves are the only team with a big enough market to fork over that kind of dough IMO.

IMO Atlanta doesn' t have a real interest in him. He doesn't fit into their team concept.

It's just that Chipper Jones type mentality that the whole team has shown and that Josh doesn't exhibit

ATL doesn't cater to one guy on the team nor do they overspend a ton of money for that guy....they build their team through the farm and trades, not the biggest free agents available.

Okay ... I see what you mean ... like Teixeira and Mayay for Feliz, Harrison, Andrus, Saltalamacchia and Beau Jones.

Yea ... ATL played some exciting baseball this year ... Chipper's last ... too bad. So how did all this "Chipper Jones mentality" work out for them?

Always nice to have a Deep Farm System> but you can't totally rely on it to win a Pennant or Worls Series. A Majority of the Guys Playing Down on the Farm will never see the Bigs anyway. Its takes a blend of Trades, Prospects and Free Agent Signings.

Also bob nightingale is tweeting a lot about an Elvis for Upton deal. If that deal got done I'd hope we'd get more than just Upton. Throw in Bauer or a couple strong bullpen arms and that might do it.

If we were to land both Justin Upton and LaRoche plus a catcher would that be enough offense to offset losing Napoli and Hamilton provided we added at least 1 #1 or 2 rotation piece?

No real need for Laroche if Moreland's 2012 vs LHPs wasn't a fluke, and thats what you have to determine, is his career vs LHPs going to be how its been most of his career (poor), or 2012 (pretty good for a LHH vs LHP matchup)
