:-D

I would actually like seeing AJ here ... would put Face in his place.

Rumor is we are wanting to talk to Ortiz as well. Ortiz here would likely make Youngs time on the field even less or would mean the end of Moreland.

Not sure about this. He would replace Josh on the left side of the plate, but offers little defensively which means when he goes through his inevitable cold spell he will be useless.

Reading Jamey's email sounds more like Ortiz' agent spinning TEX interest than true reality ... and if it costs BOS more to sign him than it might that would be okay with TEX too.

i really dont like the idea of signing Ortiz. He doesnt fit our mold. We have been using the DH spot as a rotational position which works with giving guys more ABs so if we sign him that would decrease ABs for guys like Moreland, Olt, Profar, Murphy, and Gentry

That is my thinking as well. We have seen Rosenthal do that before. There is now word that an Ortiz and BOS deal is just about done.

Josh was offered a one year deal

No shock there. Josh will turn it down and the fiasco to figure out who will give him the stupid contract will begin.

Napoli on the other hand did not get a qualifying offer.

Heard that ogando is being moved to the rotation. Dont know how i feel about this, he was barely decent in the bullpen. We need a way better rotation then darvish, harrison, holland, ogando..

You obviously forgot how dominant he was in the first half last year as a starter.

Until he got tired AND teams realized he had 2 effective pitches, then the story changed,

would he have been better than Feldman? without a doubt

Yes, but if he starts a conditioning program now he should be able to pitch deeper into the season. Remember he didn't come into ST as a starter. He's also learned a change up since then. His stuff is electric.

He's "had" a changeup, but it stinks, I saw nothing from him this past season to indicate thats any different, still all fastballs and sliders, those pitches are electric, his "changeup" is meh

With his fastball and slider all he needs to be able to do with the change up is locate it and throw it for strikes. It doesn't have to be a plus pitch.
