Holland can pack his bags now for all I care, so sick of seeing him pitch

I'd send Perez before holland. We know what he's capable of. Not totally sold on Perez.

I would much rather take a risk with Perez than to keep throwing Holland out there knowing he is nothing more than a #4 pitcher and we need guys to come in that are better than that or at least give the opportunity to show they are better.

I'm telling you guys Elvis will not resign with Texas. Not with boras as his agent. If Profar is tearing up AAA at the allstar break it may behoove us to trade Elvis this year.

That's what I said. "I'll speculate ... "

It's my totally unscientific impression of Greinke of a guy who isn't a big guy ... about Holland's size ... who can be emotional and can tend to yap ... seems nervous in high leverage spots. I just don't see him being effective at RBIA with the heat and the bigger market for a full season not to mention a multi year program.

He did well at LAA in 13 starts after a rough start but he was not their #1 and so wasn't under the same pressure he would be under at TEX.

As I said ... I'm speculating ... just don't feel like he's commanding enough. I always thought Felix should have had the 2009 CY. He had good peripheral numbers but got most of his wins in the ALC (logically). Had wins outside the division of course ... but King's 19 wins I think were tougher.

Thats total nonsense. Hes gone 200+ innings 4 of the last 5 years. Hes a great #2 guy but probably a #1 on some teams alos and has the potential to be a #1 guy. I dont get the not very good under pressure besides the small sample size of pitching in the playoffs. I think he can be a very good pitcher here.

Well there you are ... you "think he can be a very good pitcher here" ... and I don't. I can live with that.

If you consider 3.53ERA, elevated HR/9, elevated BB/9 and lower SO/BB rates from the first half w/MIL as pretty good.

Couldn't that really be attributed to switching to pitching in the tougher AL? It's probably not good to lament is elevated peripherals if you don't give is the actual numbers as well.

my dream scenario would be trading for j. upton and price and locking them up

price,yu,harrison,holland,(whoever wins 5th spot)

ian,elvis,upton,beltre.....then it depends on who we didnt trade for the rest of the line-up......olt,mitch,gentry,murphy,soto,my,martin,cruz(no particular order)
