this is exactly why I'm not ready to pull the plug on Sark and his staff yet. They have been picking up some really good kids and if tosh and company can start getting some of those great line prospects as well this will be a hell of a team.

Even with the injury, limited play, and the 1st game of year suspension by Sark. Congrats to ASJ for still being named one of the eight semifinalists for the 2013 Mackey award for nation's top tight end.

Some amazing numbers from the OSU game:

69 Points. The most scored by UW since 1944. 5th highest score of a UW conference game going back to the 1920s. Highest score against the Beavs during our 98 year history of playing each other.

530 yds rushing. 2nd highest total in our programs history. 2nd game in UW history that had 3 different 100+ yds rushers.

Bishop Sankey had 179 yds and 3 TDs. He's now tied with Napoleon Kaufman for most UW career rushing scores (34). Currently at 1,575 yds. He will need 121 yds with 2 games left (apple cup and bowl) to break Corey Dillons single season UW record.

Total offense: 692 yds. Avg passing completion: 10.6 . Scored once entering redzone: 6 out of 6 times.

Defense: 3 INTs. 71 tackles (solo+ast).

Line has moved to -16.5

Money obvious poured in on the Dawgs, even at -14.5 and the books are trying to get some bettors on the WSU side.

That's one big ol spread for an apple cup considering you have two teams highly motivated to improve their bowl outlook.

I'll take a W by 1 point as long at it kills the Seven Sark crack.

Well lets hope he works on his coverage skills, Leach went after him yesterday and they were very successful attacking his side....

:wtf: he was also called one of the top 2 corners in the conference by more than a few people. I'm far more comfortable with his coverage than I ever was Ducre's.

ESPN has ASJ listed as the Mackey Award Winner on the UW site. I swear I haven't heard or seen this reported at all... when did that happen?

So stoked for ASJ. He deserves it. Always plays like a beast.

And the position will get plenty of love in the future by the new regime. Petersen loves his big blocking TEs and will throw to them often. UW is TE U. again!!!

Yeah, heard about the award on the elise and jerry show. They said last national award winner for UW was emtmen back in '91 so he is in rare company.

While we should all be happy for ASJ, you do kind of have to

Sure feels like a makeup call for him not winning it last year when he really deserved it. This year he had like 33 catches and 7 TD's and while he was a big factor in the blocking schemes, he was relatively quiet in most of their games.

I'm sure him getting this award is one more foot he has out the door. I would be shocked at this point to see him stay for his senior season.

I think the committee bases it on a body of work while at college, instead of just a lightening in the bottle season. They also factor academics and community involvement as well.

It's bit different than the DPOY, POY, and Heisman awards.

Would be absolutely huge if he came back for his senior season, but most running backs these days bolt to the NFL when their stock is this high.

obviously we would all love for him to come back, but he would be kind of stupid to not go while his stock is high. The shelf life on RB's in the league isn't that long and why risk getting an injury and dropping your stock while you are riding this high?

Well its 50/50 still so lets not get our hopes up just yet, bottomline is the kid has a serious heart for the program if he's still pondering on returning, that's the kinda kid this program needs...
