Bowl Season vs. Colorado State

Well I'm guessing you didn't see that one coming.

Idaho basically had a series of 9 out of 10 drives where they basically did anything and everything they wanted to on offense.

I sure as **** didn't. Just finished the recording. CSU really racked up them garbage time point but Idaho was sticking it in their poopers for most of that game. Field was a ******* mess though. Has it been that bad during the winter lately?

The field was a surprise to me, I don't recall ever seeing it that slippery. Field crew must have put as much effort into the field as the defenses put into the 4th quarter of this game.

Miserable hangover yesterday... But worth it

CSU wanted no part in playing in 12deg weather. They looked timid until opening things up late in the game. Vandals were scoring at will and they never looked back. The end score wasn't indicative of the ass-beating they handed them. CSU scored 3 TDs late in the game to pull within 2 possessions.

Side note... Pretty underwhelming Vandal crowd. Weather, and ticket pricing had a lot to do with it. I stopped by Suds & Endzone (Broadway bars) beforehand and there were a crap ton of people tailgating. Nobody wanted to go to the game though to freeze their asses off. Even the tailgate I was at later on had probably 100+ people, but only about 30 people went into the game. They had a tv out in the tent with 2 stand heaters, so everybody was content staying there. Most people I talked to didn't have very much faith the Vandals could pull off the win either. Oh well, they missed a hell of a game! Well worth the freezing cold & $50 ticket prices.

Letters to the Sports Editor: Potato Bowl, Boise State football and bowl games

"I have never in my life seen so much mayhem and drunkenness at any football game as there was at the Potato Bowl.

I worked security at the game. Normally, police officers get to watch some of the game, but they were always running up and down the bleachers. The area that I was in was at the base of one of the staircases. Many Idaho Vandals fans came stumbling down the stairs stinking drunk. It went on throughout the game ... and I kept wondering if there was drinking going on up there.

After the game, after most of the Idaho fans had left, a couple from California came down and told me that there was all kinds of drinking going on and that they had never heard so much foul language and disrespect toward the Colorado State fans. They told us how they were bragging about how they had smuggled the booze under the women’s clothes coming through security.

As we were leaving, we had to climb the stairs from the stadium and I looked down to discover that there were mega small bottles scattered all over. How sad ... shame on them.

Pretty good stuff. Someone on the Scout Board dug into this lady's facebook and found this gem:

Pretty obvious that she's just another self-righteous snatch looking to show off how much better she is than everybody else because she doesn't drink. Doubt she's been to a game outside of Boise or even to any Idaho-BSU games if the Potato Bowl shocked her fragile mind this bad.

Also interesting to note that one person was arrested at the Potato Bowl. And it wasn't an Idaho fan.

Shocking... The odds of that happening are ridiculous considering I saw maybe 5-6 CSU fans in that stadium. But I didn't leave the tailgate to go into the game until midway through the 2nd qtr when the Vandals started dominating. CSU fans were probably flocking to the exits by the time I got to my seat.
