Interesting. The guy that has the Niners taking Dion Jordan must assume that he'll be standing up and playing OLB? I don't see him as a 3-4 end (or slipping to the 30s), but if he can show some half-way decent coverage abilities, he certainly would be an improvement over Brooks. That isn't necessarily a need, but if a strong, smart athlete such as Dion slips that far, it could be worth the pick.

I don't think the point would be to upgrade Brooks. Brooks just signed a long term deal because he's played great, this season and last.

The point would be to have another pure pass rusher backing up Smith and Brooks. A 3-4 team can't have too many pass rushers.

Also, he'd be there as a pass rush specialist on 3rd downs. Imagine our defense on 3rd down with J.Smith and McDonald on the inside, Aldon and Jordan at de, Willis and Bowman at lb's, that could possibly terrorize offenses.

It's hard to believe that I don't see T.J. McDonald on that list. Hopefully we'll be able to hold out until the 3rd to steal him.

As Sickness has already mentioned, no one watches every game, and the God honest truth I haven't seen one Tennessee game this year. I'm not impressed with Patterson's ball skills, which leads me to believe that at best he'll put up Torrey Smith kind of numbers w/ the addition of kick returning duties. Terrance Williams isn't a YAC player, but he's at least going to catch the ball for you; even if the pass isn't perfect Williams allows you to have a chance.

If you haven't seen any UT games how can you have an idea of what kind of hands he has?

:wtf2:
