Good. I didn't want the Niners to spend a 1st rounder on a WR again anyway (like I didn't want 'em to last year), and he might be there in the 2nd.

Patterson will blow the combine up. He's not getting out of the top-20.

Hearing Deandre Coleman/DT/Cal will enter the draft....likely to go much earlier than people presently have him ranked...

Plenty of good WR options in this draft. I like this class.

You could be right. It's possible you're onto something w/ Aaron Dobson, but I didn't watch enough of him to have mutch of an informed opinion.

Allen & Hunter have been my favourites all year once I realized Hunter was back frmo his injury; I couldn't believe how overrated Robert Woods has been the last couple of seasons.

I don't expect Manningham to be back at 5 million, so WR is definitely a need if Jenkins doesn't show something soon.

Aaron Dobson would be an absolute steal in the third round for whoever gets him. I'm also a huge fan of Tavon Austin and DeAndre Hopkins (if he declares).

Aaron Wilson ‏@RavensInsider

Also Washington St. QB Jeff Tuel (a favorite of 1z) will forgo a 5th year of eligibility and enter the draft.

My QB sleepers haven't been what I've hoped for thus. Pat Devlin is 3rd string in Miami and Mike Kafka judging by his twitter feed thought football was too mainstream, but at least Kirk Cousins safes me with his win last week to go along with his Redskin rookie franchise record for passing yards.

Jeff Tuel is more impressive than all of those guys though. The hitch that was in his throwing motion earlier in his career is now gone. I think he's a guy with potential to really climb the latter in terms of prospect rankings come mid-January, if he plays in either the Senior Bowl or East/West shrine game.

Why do you wish bad luck on us. Last year you did the same with Brockers.

Brockers was just my best guess for my annual bust pick. I pick one every year regardless. He had a great game against the Niners, but he hasn't exactly had an amazing season overall.

You try picking a bust in the first round every season. It's not exactly easy. Especially top 15 guys. It's the first round. And I think GMs are getting better at avoiding busts.

'99: Curtis Enis
'00: Rashard Anderson
'01: Damoine Lewis
'02: Lio Sheppard
'03: Rex Grossman
'04: Chris Perry
'05: Braylon Edwards
'06: Vince Young
'07: Jamaal Andersen
'08: Percy Harvin
'09: Matt Ryan
'10: Timmy!
'11: Cam Newton
'12: Michael Brokers

...'13: Probably Matt Barkley, but I haven't decided yet.

As far as I know, I'm the only one who does this.

Patterson, Austin, Wilson are my favorites. I like Dobson better than Hunter. Hunter is overrated IMO. Once upon a time Woods was the most overrated. Now he is turning out to be the most underrated. I like him much better than I liked Golden Tate who's turning out to be a descent #2.

are the top-5 WRs in this class.

If Patterson goes past our first pick I will want to die. He would immediately replace Ginn on kickoff and punt returns upon being drafted.

There looks to be a lot of solid prospects at positions of potential need for us this year (NT, S, WR).

Did I miss something? I thought MM was on a two year deal?

After nearly a week of waiting, the San Francisco 49ers made their signing of Mario Manningham official last Thursday, with contract details leaking out on Friday. The 49ers inked Manningham to a two year contract worth $7.375 million, which was over four million less than the contract Josh Morgan received from the Washington Redskins.

Further details have emerged as to the specifics of the deal with Manningham, courtesy of Pro Football Talk. They came up with a full rundown of the terms that I'll break down by season. The incentives are the same for each year and at this point the deal is fully guaranteed for $3.2 million and guaranteed for injury for an additional $1.25 million. If Manningham hits all the incentives and bonuses, he could earn up to $10 million over the two years of the deal.

If he does hit all the incentives, he will have been worth every penny, and then some. In fact, if he hits a sizable chunk of the 2012 incentives, I would think the 49ers will begin work to extend out Manningham's time with the team. You can view the full details of the contract after the jump.

On a side note, Matt Maiocco reported the 49ers had approximately $6.2 million in cap space after this deal, but not counting the Ted Ginn Jr. and Josh Johnson deals. Johnson's deal, as reported by Matt Barrows, includes a $350,000 signing bonus ($175,000 per season for cap purposes) and what appears to be just under a million dollars in base salary each year. That would seem to bring the 49ers cap figure down to approximately $5 million and change, with Ginn's one year deal and draft picks taking up much of the rest.

MM indicated the team likely needs a little over $4 million to sign their scheduled draft picks. That could potentially leave a little bit of room for a Leonard Davis type of signing, although it remains to be seen what kind of salary Davis will be looking for as we head into the summer.

Signing Bonus: $2 million

2012
Base Salary: $1.2 million (fully guaranteed)
Per-game Roster Bonus total: $250,000
Workout Bonus: $100,000
Incentives: 70 catches = $100,000 OR 80 catches = $250,000 OR 90 catches = $500,000; 1,050 yards = $50,000 OR 1,150 yards = $100,000 OR 1,250 yards = $250,000; Nine touchdowns = $50,000 OR 11 touchdowns = $100,000 OR 13 touchdowns = $250,000; and Pro Bowl selection = $250,000

2013
Base Salary: $3.6 million ($1.25M guaranteed for injury only)
Roster Bonus: $250,000
Workout Bonus: $100,000
Incentives: 70 catches = $100,000 OR 80 catches = $250,000 OR 90 catches = $500,000; 1,050 yards = $50,000 OR 1,150 yards = $100,000 OR 1,250 yards = $250,000; Nine touchdowns = $50,000 OR 11 touchdowns = $100,000 OR 13 touchdowns = $250,000; and Pro Bowl selection = $250,000

Hmmm... You found different numbers for Manningham's 2013 salary than I did. Well, 3.6 million is better than 5.
