Some extra work by the special teams unit is in the cards...

How bad was Willson hurt?, that looked, nasty.

Michael does this a lot, He did it in College also. Running and diving into the backs of his own players legs. Now he isn't doing it on purpose so don't say that's what i am saying. Last season he took Okung, Willson and Gilliam all out this way for some time in games.

I"m still stunned we got this win .... It seemed like we crossed a black cat in the second half, weird things were happening....

With the injuries, feels like the Seahawks could use another bye week. Nice thing is the Seahawks have a 2 game lead in the division race. Need all the cushion they can get. Cards up next. Seahawks can really put themselves in a commanding position with a win.

I am glad the Hawks won but some of you need to clear the fog off your homer goggles. If that would have been the Hawks receiver, you all would have been screaming PI. And it was PI on Sherm, he yanked on the arm early but got away with it. They should have had a 6 pt lead anyway but at least they won.

"I" think officials are intimidated when they do a Seahawk home game. The 'no call' on Sherman would have been called anywhere else. The crowd noise on that play made the official keep his hand away from the flag. Atlanta coach has a legitimate gripe. The Seahawks got away with one.......

But no one can bitch if a few calls go against the Seahawks on the Road.

Seahawks have got to find a way to amp up the offense a bit. A good defensive secondary will limit Graham and Baldwin, not shut them down, but cramp them enough to hinder the offensive production. Michael is certainly not Lynch and his 30 yard runs for no gain may be fun to watch but are useless when you're trying to play catch up.

Pretty sure 90% of Seahawks fans know that was PI, the other 10% are drunk most likely. Those the breaks and we'll take it.

I agree Harold and yes we will take it. Glad the Rams lost today too. Puts the Hawks in the drivers seat in the division. Still early tho

I don't think fans should bitch about calls at all. Mistakes are going to happen. You just got to roll with it. Never the less fans are still going to bitch, it's the nature of things.

Horseshit. The Hawks get plenty of flags at home. The ref just wasn't in position to see the penalty.

What about the Interception by Earl? Or the 4 sacks on Ryan? Atlanta had their fucking chances.

Go away Big Ken, the last thing anyone needs is a lecture about "intimidation" from a Patriots fan. {;-)

the refs missed calls both ways, but i will always hold that a call like that should not be made at the end of a game. let them play, it wasnt that egregious. the falcons had THREE plays prior to that one to gain a yard and they couldnt.

I'm obviously glad it wasn't called... Should it have? I think so... I was surprised it wasn't... Would we be screamin if it was a Hawk receiver interfered with? Probably... Would we be saying that the ref's suck and should call the game consistently all the way through the whistle that ends the game? Probably...

Does it mean that J.Jones would've caught it and ATL would've ran a few more plays to get them in FG range? Who knows??? :noidea:

all I know is it goes down as a Seahawk win which makes us 4-1 and we survived the worst single quarter by the Legion of Boom.

The last few minutes of the game was starting to look a bit too much like the 2012 playoff game for my taste. I think Sherm got away with one at the end and the defense hadn't been so stout up to that point to say with certainty that Atlanta wouldn't have been able to get into field goal range if the PI was called or if Jones would have caught that ball instead. That said, if the Hawks had been able to connect on the field goal and the extra point that they couldn't convert, they would have had to worry about a touchdown at the end instead of a field goal. Don't even get me started on the defensive breakdowns in the third quarter. I don't know what the hell happened there. There were also three or four catchable drops on offense. Overall, not a great game for the Seahawks.

I think we can chalk this up to post-bye week weirdness. I don't know if it's rust or what, but with a couple of exceptions, the games following a bye week in the Carroll era have either been closer than they should have been or straight up losses. It wasn't pretty and I'm sure Carroll will be addressing the lapses in concentration and lapses in communication, but a win is a win. Time to move on to the Cardinals game.
