No More "Bullpen Failure" - maybe
I agree 100%.
No...Prince has really been the worst by all ways of measuring...he is paid to do one thing and he sucks at it.
Out of all hitters with 180 PA in the league Prince is DEAD last in BA, second to last in OBP and SLG... (which is good enough for dead last in OPS). Without his recent semi hot streak he would still be last, but it would be by a lot more. Prince is by far the worst everyday player on any roster in the major leagues.
He has been bad but did you watch the game? His last two AB's were hard smashes that found a glove. That is the way baseball goes.not arguing, good points but Moreland has absolute stunk the place up. last night Fielder and Beltre on 2nd & 1st and Moreland flat stunk. we should have at least got 1 run there
I bet the Yankees would love that. That would be a terrible trade for us. I wouldn't trade Gallo for those 2 much less Gallo and Ortiz.on Bleacher Report, they are talking trade scenarios they would do and they have the Rangers sending Gallo and Ortiz to the Yankees for Chapman and McCann. personally i would not do it but what do you think?

But don't get the upside for the Rangers.

Presumed upgrades for the bullpen and offense stats at the catcher position.
You can say the same for Beltre. He got robbed with the bases loaded and by the way, where was the rest of the offense? Don't believe you get it.That doesn't really matter tho. All that does is the result of those hard smashes, which were outs.
Of course Chapman would be great. But he's a FA after this season.
And I'm not interested in a 32 year old catcher, who, although better offensively, is due to decline. And yes I know Chirinos is about the same age, but he's only been catching for a few years. So the wear on his body is considerably less than with McCann.
It's just, IMO, way too much to give up for this tandem.
and he is not even the worst. Moreland needs to be put at the bench and told not to move for any reason.

Choo may have reached the age where he is going to be hurt a lot more often than he has in the past.Hitzges just said Choo is out for about a month. Late June is the expected date.

It was the downside in acquiring them at the age they were when we did. That's a ton of money they are paying Choo to rot on the DL and prince to hit below .200
I guess him and Rua will platoon depending on the pitcher.Hitzges just said Choo is out for about a month. Late June is the expected date back.
This puts Hoying in line for a lot of time in LF.
