I agree, the Vikings were too one-dimensional this season. If a team can stop Peterson, then you have a good chance on beating the Vikings.

People are confusing randomness with probability.

Walsh missing that kick had a low probability based on past performance. But not all kicking situations are the same and we don't how often Walsh might might that kick in that same situation. That's why it is more about execution than luck.

Maybe Walsh misses that 50% of the time given the sitaution. We don't know.

A 5 foot putt in practice is vastly different than a 5 foot putt for $1,000,000.

It was at a low level of probability that Welsh missed the FG, so that like the probability of hitting tomorrow's powerball (albeit it at a different level), luck was a component.

Russell's missed throw was decided upon and executed at a lower level of competence than Butler's interception. But to compare Wilson's slight miscue with Malcolm's greatest defensive play in SB history is a disservice to the QB ...
