Because she's already moved on from Arkansas decades earlier? Because it's Arkansas? QUOTE]

Exactly. NY is far better place to launch. And she didn't move on from Arkansas decades earlier. If you have to exaggerate then you don't have much of an argument.

anyone on my payton/taylor comparison?

you know...the "first 3 years" thing?

i will expect it to be ignored going forward.

OK, you won't be ignored, but at least try to understand how to read in context.

Why will RW not increase his passing yardage?

he is not asked to?
Physically impossible because he is 5'11"?
It's the 'pocket passer' thing I'm hooked on?

yup, and no issue with that.

but calling him a pocket passer is frankly, silly.

That said, he's certainly not a one read and then run type of guy either. He's been compared to Vick and Vince Young several times today but he's much more similar to guys like Tarkenton and Steve Young ( Steve maybe less so).

I'm just east of Spokane.

I use those guys because you have a hang up on height. Brees and Brady are both extremely successful QB's and both have been considered "elite". Brees is 6 inches shorter than Brady. So is height that important?

Pick an answer you like:

A: he'll audible out of the worst play call in history, sure yuou can pass, but dont do a timing throw it into traffic route
B: lead the most improbable comeback maybe in nfcCG history
C: Just beat the shit out of the other team in the superbowl so bad that its over by halftime?

My bad one decade between Arkansas ending and NY Senate.

Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion. I obviously disagree. He can transition just fine to a post NFL career in politics coming out of Seattle. You're nit-picking details and ignoring the thrust of the argument.

It worked just fine for Largent in a pre-internet world. It can CERTAINLY work in a borderless information age.

yup, thats fair....but

young was 6'2 and was a very accomplished passer at BYU

tarkenton i can see, he was "6 feet tall" too. nhe also threw a tremendous amount of picks (era considering of course) but then again, tark didnt run nearly as much as wilson.

ever.

LOL even his teammates know this but these seattle fans don't. Love it.
We have lost a number of starters and solid depth guys the last 2 years. What would make you think we missed the FA signing's of Giacomini, Carpenter, Maxwell, Johnson, Tate, and a few other's?
Often, when you post you illuminate your ignorance.

u do know they had one of the best running games and because of their great D they had one of the best field position in the NFL. That helps big time for a QB.
Wait until you get a flash of our new returner. Better field position awaits Seattle.

OMG he is trying to compare Tom Brady to RW. This is getting ugly for seattle fans. Please other seattle fans stop this guy before he destroys your fan base.
You know, you have been very quiet around here this off season.
This signing really has you riled up.

Ironically, just when the Niners get a stadium that isn't crumbling their team starts crumbling instead. I think that is where the source of his aggression comes from. Seattle built something really good through the draft and now they are starting to lock up key guys and it's driving 9er fans crazy.

his size, skill set, arm, and running ability?

"Now, I know traditionalists have defined franchise quarterbacks as polished pocket passers capable of carrying the offense in conventional aerial attacks, but the NFL coaches I've been around (Marv Levy, Mike Holmgren, Marty Schottenheimer, Tom Coughlin, Jon Gruden and John Fox) have coveted QBs with "winning" characteristics (intelligence, leadership, grit, competitiveness and clutch factor) and impressive résumés -- as opposed to gaudy, fantasy-friendly passing numbers. Yes, it is important for the franchise quarterback to show he can move the team on the strength of his arm, but there is something to be said for a guy who understands how to simply lead his team to the winner's circle." - Bucky Brooks NFL.Com

Russell Wilson fully deserves mega deal from Seattle Seahawks - NFL.com

Agreed, plus last year's sweep and Seattle owning the all time HtoH competition over SF has not been good for purguy's psyche.
