I guess you don't watch many games because he doesn't look great(except the last 2 weeks.) I give him credit for the Ravens game and Min game. Your 8-5. nothing special. Arizona is in 1st place. Big drop off from the last 2 years. He is 17th in the league in passing yards per game.

Again Im not bashing Wilson. I think he is good but not close to that 22 mill price tag. U seattle fans take everything as a negative. Most of the football world knows he is over paid just like Flacco is at the QB position. Just because he is doesn't make him a bad QB just his play doesn't live up to the pay.

Yes its a tough year for my 49ers. Not denying that. rebuild time. You just need to be realistic about your team and your QB and everything will be better.
So much fail here.

He has had the greatest 4 game stretch at least since 1970. That's not the last game or two.
He's currently 11th in the league in total passing yards. Of course that's the only stat you care about. The rest of football might care more about him being second in completion percentage and 3rd in yards per pass. YOU won't talk about those because knowing he's actually throwing it farther than Brady, Rodgers, etc would ruin your whole premise.

Dude is tearing it up. Be a man and just admit it and move on.

I guess his 5 TD 0 Int game against the Steelers was just another average performance.
ok 3 games. my bad. still over all they are 8-5 and in 2nd place nothing special. Good luck the rest of the way just don't be blind. This Seattle team is not close to the teams the last 2 years. See how you guys look against Arizona. U guys haven't played a good team in awhile. Minn is way over rated(49ers beat them) and Pitt is ok(up and down this year). Last good team you played was Arizona and you lost. U lost to all the top teams on your schedule(Arizona, GB, Carolina and Cincy.) 2 of them were at home.

We sure did. And we were winning in all of those games with less than 2:00 minutes to play. So it's not like we got trounced.

Really not a shock that you just can't man up.

Wilson is one of the top QB's in the league this year. That's a straight up fact. 2nd in over all completion percentage and 3rd in yards/attempt says he isn't doing it with smoke and mirrors. It isn't dink and dunk bullshit. He's throwing the ball down field and hitting players better than all but one QB in the league. Palmer is neck and neck with him in most of those categories, and yet Wilson just passed him up in QBR.

You do know that those stats take into account ALL games. Wins, losses, good teams, bad. It's a whole season thing.

Keep sitting there and trying the whole stupid "they aren't playing anyone" thing. People will just laugh at you.

Rodgers has played bad teams. So had Brady. The ginger from Ohio has played bad defenses. None are higher than Wilson is this year in the stats that count. And he's been doing this after several of his weapons have gone down with injury.

Again, I'd agree if people said he has to do it over a longer period before we start calling him a top 3 QB. He wasn't that good earlier this year over a stretch. I'd like to see him keep this up and continue it in the post season when the pressure is higher. However, to still try to hold onto your words from earlier this year instead of manning up and admitting they were premature just shows how much of a man you aren't.

Barnwell: MVP or not, nobody is topping Russell Wilson
Let me guess, it's ESPN so it's garbage. It's a writer and all they do is make shit up to get headlines so people will click the page. He's a moron. Maybe you have something else more original? Either way, no amount of actual data or media coverage is going to sway you from you hard dug-in stance that Wilson is a bust and isn't worth his pay. Facts be damned!
:L

BTW, his deal was only really worth like 18m/yr or something in that range. Given where he is at this year that's a bargain.

And before you be stupid and try the 'it was 22m/yr' thing that disregards the part of it that was actually paid this year so it's stretched out over 5 seasons, not 4... You just might want to go check your facts. Seems fact checking isn't a strong thing for you.

Man up LOL what are you talking about. U are 8-5 and haven't beat anyone real(Pitt is your best win). U have lost to all top teams that have a chance to win this year. There is nothing to man up. Wilson is not worth 22 mill just like Flacco isn't worth 21 mill. These are facts. Blind homers. Its time to be realistic.

I will say this u guys have looked better and its a good time to be playing your best ball but the truth is your schedule has been so so during this time. Like I said lets see how they look against Arizona. U still haven't beat a top team this year and u have 2 Home loses. This team isn't as good as the past 2 years teams.

The only position in sports that has proven time and time again to be worth their big contracts are QB's.

Take the franchise tag away from NFL teams and a guy like Wilson would have been signing a 10 year $350+M contract.

Seattle is 8-5 and lock for the playoffs right now. Take Sherman off the team and they might be a loss or two worse. Add JJ Watt to the team and they are maybe a win or two better. Take Russell Wilson off the team and they are fighting to have the worst record in the league and hoping for the #1 overall pick. THAT is the influence a good QB has on a team's success. And you only have to look at team record's when missing their franchise QB's over the years to see that.

Russell Wilson is worth WAY more than $22M to a team like Seattle.

Lol, already told you it wasn't 22m/yr. You don't read well do you? :L The Seahawks did what they typically do (and many other teams as well) and rolled up his signing bonus into THIS year while he was on the last year of his rookie contract. So if 1/5th of his massive bonus is on THIS year it isn't part of the NEXT 4. If you do the math it's around 18m/yr. That you can't grasp that most basic concept is proof you just want to make shit up to support a claim you had and damn the actual facts.

Funny stuff.

The only other stuff you added is about what the TEAM has done, not Wilson. Is it possible to be the best QB in the league and still have your TEAM go 11-5 or 10-6? Yes. You posted NOTHING that refutes the claim that right now no QB in the league is hotter than Wilson AND his stats over the complete year put him in the top 2 for this season. Those are facts you simply can't, and won't, deal with.

Because you can't, and won't, man up.

He has had the greatest 4 game stretch at least since 1970.

Wilson had a great 4 games, but you have no need to overstate it to the point where the claim becomes inaccurate. Brady had a 4 game stretch in 2007 with more passing touchdowns, more rushing touchdowns, over 100 more passing yards and 0 interceptions.

It's not coming from us. Look at the headlines from the national sports media. They are the ones making that claim. His 3+ TD's in those 4 games, no Ints and over 75% completion rate are apparently better than anyone has done since 1970. If you don't agree with those stats or their importance to whoever coined them that's fine with me. Just put the blame where it belongs.

He's woopin ass right now. If someone thinks this doesn't count for some reason, then just come up with the stats that are racked up in the "real" games (whatever the hell that means).

First QB in the SB era to have four straight games with a QB rating of 135 or better.

On further consideration, it's kind of telling that the last run of similar quality was during the best four game stretch during a historic season played by a first ballot HOF QB almost ten years ago.
