$60 million guaranteed in Wilson's contract and a $31 million signing bonus.

The type of money he got is good: $21.9 million per year, with the guarantees still TBD and very much a big part of this. Wilson taking less than $100 million total would seem to be an indication there's a large part of this guaranteed

$21.9M puts him up there with the best QB's in the league. He deserves it. Glad he got paid.

That can literally be said about any big player's contract. Nobody has a crystal ball. We can only go off a player's resume' and right now Wilson has a really good one going. Plus, he's a great leader on the team and in the community. He's by all accounts the perfect franchise QB. The league needs more Lucks and Wilson's coming up.

don't forget Cam

I'm not overly worried about the holdout. Walter Jones made it an annual even with the Seahawks but always showed up to play when it counted. I think Kam will be the same. He's just getting an extra couple weeks vacation.

Good. Now Jesus should whisper something to Irvin, Bennett and Wagner and life will be good in Seahawk land.

I can see Irvin signing elsewhere next year. Always the franchise tag for Wagner if things don't go well there too.

I like Irvin, but he's one of the more expendable guys the Seahawks have. He's never been a super star. Bruce should think about that before he leaves a defense that is so good.

yeah, I was just messin' a bit. I actually get why some of the more senior guys would do that. Like you said an extra week or two of rest, in the worst of the heat? why not

You said that after they signed Sharman and again after they signed Thomas. LOL. Get ready to say it again because Wagner is next and it's going to happen soon. I think the deal is already done and they were just waiting to make sure they had money after Wilson signed.

He's certainly improved and out performed most people's expectations. Still with all that talent, he's the third best linebacker on the team and has been known to make bonehead mistakes. I'm sure Jacksonville and Atlanta will make a run at him if he hits the market.
