The Skins won the division in RG3s rookie year & they were horrible for years before that. If he didnt have such a huge ego & wasnt made of glass..We have a much better overall team than they had anyway.

MAriota would be coming to basically the same O. We would be just fine.

The question is whether or not the Bucs really want him or not. I hope they dont.

If they say no. They say no...but Im sure as fuck gonna try to get him.

I am always in favor of getting better at QB but when is this team going to have a defense that will help us in the playoffs? Those big plays our secondary gives up are killing us!

He is 15-10 in the NFL & one of those wins shouldnt even be his because Sanchez won that Texans game. So 14-10 is impressive? He was also leading the NFL in turnovers when he got hurt. Dude turned into Kevin Kolb right before our eyes. He wasnt even good in the preseason before everyone got hurt. They got tape on him & he became a pumpkin. Could he get his mojo back? Maybe...maybe not.

Can you guys even fathom that maybe 2013 was just a fluke? BEcause by the looks of things...it was.

Not sayin' I'd do it, just that with so many teams needing QB's, that's what it would take. He is a project, but teams are willing to wait a couple years for one with raw talent. Jeesh!

Because clearly our First rd picks have been phenomenal..... Tony Garoppolo was a second rd pick by the Patriots, and many Patriots fans were already calling for Garoppolo when Brady struggled early this year. This kid is good.

How good is he??? Well the Patriots have one of the greatest Qb's of all time yet the Pats used a very valuable 2nd rd draft pick on this kid. Tells me a lot.

Has nothing to do with Brady being 37 does it. :rollseyes:

He had an awesome year in 2013 (sure looks like a fluke now) & the other 2 years were just ok. Counting on him as anything more than average is pretty freaking risky.

Id much rather have Mariota. IF we can get him for Foles, our #1 this year & next + Vinny Curry, Id jump at it...and Im pretty sure the Eagles would too.

The Eagles are gonna talk up Foles & whoever else on the team they may want to trade. At least Id hope they do that. Its just smart to do it that way. Now if Foles is the QB in 2015, I'll have to accept it but I wont be too happy about it.

I dont like losing out on damn good QBs. But it sure seems to happen quite a bit in Eagle land. So i guess I shouldnt get my hopes up. lol.

I'm VERY interested in trying to trade for Colin Kaepernick. I love Mariota and would take a chance on him over Kaepernick straight up, but the price to get Mariota is going to put him out of reach for us. We might have a good chance of going after Kaepernick for a reasonable price. Jim Harbaugh is a goner, as is Greg Roman. Will Tomsula take over the HC gig and bring in his own offensive guys, will a completely new coaching staff be hired -- in any scenario are the new HC's going to view Kaepernick as their franchise guy. Possibly. I hope not and I hope we go after him. While he still has a ton to learn about playing the QB position, he's a very good fit in this offense. I wonder what the price tag would be for him, if he were to become available.

Would you give up at least our #1? + maybe more than that? Especially if we can't solve the secondary replacements early in the draft? I'd think about it, but only if we sign competent replacements.

Hence the reason I lay much of the blame at Chip's feet. I think we have only seen the beginning of his ego. Next season he needs to prove he can handle the NFL while committing to make adjustments.

Chip cant play QB too, the plays are there to be made..but I will blame him if he doesnt get a better one.

Mariota is a pipe dream and only a moron would make a trade with what the asking price will be. Giving up a lot of draft picks to move up to take a "supposed" stud has never worked as far as I can remember.

The Eagles have the #4 offense in the NFL. The #3 scoring offense in the NFL and you want to mortgage the future for a QB that has not even been mentioned as a can't miss prospect like Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning was?
