I wish a few more people who would chime in. Right now with Barilkos vote it is up to 6 to 4 in favor of taking the rg3 side. The guy is hounding me to pull the trigger but I keep stalling him until I can get a few more votes here. The fact that he is so anxious to get this done is making me wonder why?

Because he is banking on Gronk getting hurt, RGIII not improving on LY, Aaron Rodgers being elite (and he's probably right) and Mathews being a stud in that offense. Even though I would have already done this trade the one constant out of all of them is Aaron Rodgers.............and that's why you haven't hit the accept button yet..................

I'm taking the RG3 side of this deal, but it's close.

I expect RG3 to have a better year after coming back from injury last year, and with the addition of Desean Jackson. He's not going to be good as Rodgers, but I like RG3 this year. Matthews is a complete unknown, so it's hard for me to see much value with him. Gronk still has some concerns as well, but much bigger upside if healthy.

All things considered, I like the RG3/Gronk side by a slim margin.

Rodgers isn't off the injury radar, either. I'd do it. Gronk is his own little injury factory, but when he plays he gives you a huge advantage.

Joe is at work. I work 6 days a week most weeks.

Not a lot of research. Sorry Foot. But I'd like Gronk & RG3. All 4 players are risks IMO. But I think I'd rather have the stud TE and dual threat QB than an elite QB and a dime-a-dozen unproven WR.

I would not trade Rodgers... Dont care about matthews... Preseason trades, i would never give up the best player in the deal and rodgers is the best player in this deal... But thats just me...

I would have no problem with having RG3 and Gronk on my team, i like them a lot this season, but QBs are the highest scoring positions in fantasy and to take a potential drop off is too much for me to take there...

i did state if you forced me to choose with all other factors aside which 2 players are worth more i did say Gronk/RG3 more than Mathews/Rodgers but for the reasons i originally posted my vote would be no do not do it

we should not fear injuries but sometimes the fear can be justified...

i would not deal RG3 and Gronk for Rodgers/Mathews (if i owned the Gronk side) Mathews is an obvious unknown commodity ...it isnt enough coming back

however your are on the Rodgers side..so obviously you would be hunting a stud player if and when you deal Rodgers..and taking back a Qb everytime..so getting RG3 works when you deal Rodgers for a stud(i really do not think its RG3 that you are after) he is the Qb coming back so....

It is Gronk that you want ..here is my opinion if you finally deal Rodgers for a stud as great as Gronk is can be he is one of the rare exceptions where i do fear the injury history along with Harvin and Austin...


so if you want Gronk go get him with something else....

Well I'm not gong to defend my take on the issue. . It's entirely logical to go with RGIII and Gronk.. it's just that I'd never do it, the way Gronk goes down if he sneezes, and RGIII still hasn't figured out that those line backers are just as quick and fast as he is. .I don't see either of them have long careers, and eventually those injuries will sap what little advantage they do have when they're on the field. But hey, I'm assuming worst case scenario for those two. . And just the same old same old for Rodgers, Mathews isn't even a consideration.

Well guys, first I want say how valuable you guys are and how much I appreciate and respect all of you. You're opinions and input are a great thing to have at one's disposal and I ever so grateful for all your help.

When this was presented to me I got excited but just could not pull the trigger. After hearing everyones input and and taking a tally I seen the majority was on the rg3 side and even thought a few guys (who I value their opinions very much so) where opposing I decided my gut feeling was confirmed.

So I just excepted the deal. I took rg3 and gronk. Thanks ALL

Sorry Foot I wasn't on at all today. I know you already pulled the trigger, but I would not have been wowed enough by the deal to pull the trigger on it. Gronk and RGIII both are just too risky for me to deal Rodgers for. I know you already did the deal at this point, but I don't want you to think I was ignoring you. I can completely understand the side that thinks you should have done the trade though and I can't really fault you either way.
