Sheridan didn't have any sources. People that believed him are retarded. He just made a guess on something he had a 50/50 chance of getting right. And if he gets it wrong? At least he got thousands or RT's and followers for him and his site. It was a win/win for him.
Wrong!!! He had it right.

Went on Cowherd's show Wed. and backed up his prediction that he made about 5 days before that.

Cavs fans said he was coming back too. Does that make them a credible source? No! It was a guess that really didn't impress me at all. It was no secret his agent wanted him to return to Cleveland and we all knew he'd stay in the weak Eastern Conference so that narrowed it down to 2 teams.

IM SHOCKED HE WAS RIGHT...

Don't get butthurt about LeBron leaving you. Be glad you had him. I've been a Suns fans my entire fucking life and have had my heart broken year after year with NO TITLES. I've witnessed my favorite player leave to play for our rivals (Lakers) and got over it. I witnessed my team get fucked over by bullshit suspensions and Tim Donahue fixing playoff games against my team. If you're gonna act like a bitch over LeBron leaving after taking you to the finals 4 STRAIGHT YEARS and bringing you 2 titles then gtfo.

You should thank him and wish him the best. You didn't actually think he'd retire in Miami, did you?
We do thank him and don't begrudge him and won't be burning his jersey, but we won't fall for the PR act and the easier way out. Just fact.

Okay, I can respect that. Im actually in Miami and listened to some local radio shows and they were really classy about it and I was impressed. They wished him good luck and thanked him for "a wonderful four years" which I thought was pretty cool of them.

The whole PR thing is expected though man... it's the NBA!

Most people here are pretty observant and have no problem picking on James.
Same people here have followed the events since FA started right up through the announcement today.
Even if your a James fan, or neutral, it's still ok to call bullshit when you see it.

There are so many discrepancies, spins, and flat out lies that I think it would be fun to make a list.
I'm only going to start the list with 1 now to see if others had similar thoughts.

Where to start? Hmmmmm
Ok

#1. The S.I. article ( which James clearly didn't write...he just approved the message) was written yesterday.

Really? Written yesterday? Then how did Sheridans source leak it to him, so he could basically quote it beforehand?

He could have written the article 4 years ago, but that does not mean he made a final decision before Thursday.

It wasn't a matter of right or wrong. A coin flip guess will be right half the time.
The man was publicly, on a radio show quoting an article that his camp is claiming wasn't written yet.
OBVIOUSLY you didn't listen to it.

THAT was my hopes for the thread...finding/ calling bullshit.

Has nothing to do with liking him or disliking him.
And no real Heat fan is butthurt or ungrateful.

I heard Broussard say that.

You don't write something like that in a day. He has written multiple drafts and had it edited and re-edited. He may have had a second version ready to go for Miami too. We will never know.

If it's heartfelt, you most certainly can.

Regardless though, whether he wrote it Thursday or in 2012, it does not prove that he made his decision before Thursday.

I did not listen to the radio show you're referring to so my apologies if I'm missing something here. But I stand by everything I said. :)

First of all, there is no way James wrote that. You're smarter than that. I've heard too many interviews.

The article isn't that long, if a professional SI couldn't pull that off in a day, he wouldn't be employed long.
That day wasn't yesterday though, because Sheridan recited it days ago.

I'm not saying the man has no attachments or feelings for Akron, because that's obviously not true, but that isn't near the main reason he left now. He's tired of carrying the Heat. We all understand that. Just say so.
You don't think Wade knows it? The Cavs currently have amazing upside, the Heat not so much.
Please don't tell me you think he'd be going back now if the a Cavs had the roster of probably 20 other teams.
This wasn't his calling, it's just his next step in ring chasing...which is fine....just say so.

And a version for the Heat, why?, not needed.
To stay here, really nothing needed to happen. He could have elected to not opt out. He could have elected to sign any length contract he chose, and it wouldn't even have been questioned.

You're dead wrong.
If a letter is written a week or whatever in advance that breaks down every aspect of your reasoning, then you have made a decision.

Now, he could have changed his mind after the fact....but that didn't happen.

So, he made a decision and then stood by it.

If you listened to it, I'm pretty sure your opinion would change.
If your interested, go to Sheridans twitter page and click on the link.

If you want to save the time of listening, then just re read the letter.
They are near identical.

If I cared enough, I would look into it. But I'll take your word for it.

You would be better off directing your anger towards Riley.

My thoughts on Lebron & the Heat moves

I will be the first to admit that when he first selected Cleveland today I was pretty pissed off and not only because he was leaving. I was pissed off because all the reports stated that as soon as he leave, Bosh will follow and basically it'll be 2009 & 2010 all over again for D-Wade. In addition to this I was pretty upset (and kinda still am) that he didn't tell the Heat before. I don't care what LBJ say, his mind was made up when Chris Sheridan broke the news that it was a 90% chance he goes back to Cleveland on Miami. He didn't just decide that he wanted to go home on Wed night or thursday afternoon. This was decided once he opted out. Kinda suck that he led the Heat on a bit. I have to think if they knew for sure (as LBJ did on Monday) that he wouldn't be coming back that there's no way Granger & McBob is signed. Heat would've used the MLE on something better so that's kinda messed up. All in all though now that he's Cleveland I won't root for him or against him because at the end of the day here, he was a class act and a great professional and leader in his 4 years. I don't think LBJ returns to Cleveland if he wasn't such a nice guy. Reason I say that is that it bothered him so much that the people in Cleveland disliked him so freaking much so the only way he thought he could change that is by returning to Cleveland. If he left in a different fashion where there wasn't as much backlash, I think he's still a Heat. Just for the record I still think Chris Sherdian source was LBJ agent. After the meeting with the Cavs, he probably told him LBJ/Gilbert made up and there's no way he's returning to Miami.

Now as for the Heat moves. I'm so happy Pat was able to get Bosh back and I don't give a damn that he overpaid for him. I expect to see Bosh develop into the Toronto Bosh but better and I think he will avg 20-22 PPG & 8 or 9 RPG. I also expect to see a more assertive D-Wade. I'm expecting Wade to get his shots back up in that 15-16 per night and I think he will average in the low 20's and shoot about 50%. If the Heat are able to get Deng/Ariza and a few quality role players, we will be fighting for a top 4 seed out East.

Sheridan had sources. Nobody who been in this business for so long will make such a bold statement like that knowing that his credibility would be gone if it wasn't true.

His source was in the meeting Lebron had with Gilbert on Sunday
