Here's his top 5 quarterbacks:

1. Blake Bortles, QB from UCF
2. Zach Mettenberger, QB from LSU
3. Teddy Bridgewater, QB from Louisville
4. Johnny Manziel, QB from Texas A&M
5. Derek Carr, QB from Fresno State

Most of the media big boards don't have Mettenberger in their top 5. McCarron, Carr, and Garoppolo are seen as better prospects.

I do think Mettenberger could sneak in the 2nd or 3rd round, but I really don't think he's gong to get picked ahead of Bridgewater, Manziel, and Carr.

What exactly does Jaws see which most don't?

This is how I have them ranked based on my team's preferred type of QB:

-Bortles
-Carr
-Mettenberger
-Bridgewater
-Garoppolo
-McCarron
-Manziel

Here is what scouts like about him:

-Exceptional size
-Outstanding arm strength
-Spins it with velocity and can make all the throws
-Big hands
-Can drill the deep out and fit it into a tight window across the field throwing to his left
-Ran an NFL-style offense under coordinator Cam Cameron and learned how to become more of a leader as a senior.

He is a classic big strong armed pocket passer.

Not sure why anyone deals with ESPN for any news but I do have Manziel going to the Vikes and all others faliing to the 2nd round. Bortles would be my top pick but this QB draft is really weak IMO.

Well, I think he's also the 2nd best QB in the draft right now. I also think he'll be the best out of this draft in less than 5 years.

I said Kap was a mediocre QB (15ish range) before the start of last season, while a lot of people were putting him in the top 7. At the end of the season, he was much closer to 15 compared to 7.

I guess this is OT but I'm asking sincerely.

Since when is Jaws an authority? Seriously, are they really trying to build Jaws up to be some talent expert? Because that's going to be a very, very difficult sell based on his past SNAFU's. :L

Jaws thinks he knows a lot and acts like he does, but he is just another former QB predicting.

See Jaws' flip flop of Johhny Manziel, pre Pro Day and post. He is an ESPN caricature and has been for some time.

Jaws also remembers his career as MUCH more than it was, which is almost universal among retired athletes.

Mettenburger reminds me of Brandan Weeden somewhat. Big arm, little mobility.

I use to respect Jaws. He would break down film and explain things on air in a meaningful way. But I've lost a ton of respect for him over the last two years as he's turned into ESPN's personal bullshit hype machine. Pretty much all he does is make an outrageous statement that no other person has made and then ESPN will spend an entire day talking about his opinion. They literally fabricate a news story out of whatever Jaws spews. Some recent examples "Kaepernick can be the best quarterback ever", "Johnny Manziel is a 4th round or later player" and now "Mettenberger is the 2nd best QB in the draft". Just watch how they operate. An ESPN show will bring him in, he'll talk about how much tonnage of film he's watched (a pseudo justification of his expertise) and then he'll make a statement you've heard no other expert anywhere say. And then boom, ESPN will then run those comments for the next 24 to 48 hrs. In house manufactured bullshit.

Yeah, at some point the marketing people at ESPN decided to transform Jaworski into a personality.

Sorry, I'm not interested. :2cents:
