No the hell it does not. So you think when politicians apologize they mean it? I have some land for sale here in S. Florida you interested? He doesn't care players are forced by management to appease the fickle fans and media.

There's more proof that I'm right than you are.

Watch this:

Prove he didn't mean it.

I don't really blame Dez Bryant or DeMarco Murray for being upset. When your teams QB is the biggest choke artist in the history of the game it's got to be frustrating to have to play with him.:D:

I don't blame him for being upset and I don't think anyone else does either...it's what you DO with that anger that counts.

Be a professional. If you want to go off, go off but wait until after the game and in the locker room where there are no cameras. Throw your helmet, rip stuff off the wall, throw trash cans, question people's lineage to their fathers....just do it in PRIVATE.

Never said you can't talk about him.. just seems strange that you care. The Pats are not a Cowboys rival or anything, so I don't understand why what he does matters to you... that's all. And again, even stranger that you care about a behavior that he displays which is very similar to one of your own star players. I mean do you start threads like this when Tom Terrific gets out of line?

I don't care the Cowboys aren't a rival with the Patriots or anything. I am a fan of football period... My favorite team is the Patriots but that doesn't mean I don't watch other teams or games. It's my opinion and this is a message board to talk sports... This is sports related so I posted it. I don't defend Brady for his antics either so I don't get what you are trying to imply here either.

So IYO several past Steeler players have been unprofessional. I was listening to 105.3 the fan tonight on my way home, the Cowboys ledgen show was on and wouldn't you know it they had Mean Joe Green on the show as a special guest. He said he can relate to Dez because his first three years with the Steelers they sucked. He went on to say he walked off the field numerous times before the game had ended and no one made a big deal about it then. He also recalled watching the cowboys play the Colts in the Super Bowl, Bob Lylly was so frustrated that he threw his helmet all the way to midfield. Dez losing his cool is nothing new among NFL football players.

Yes, I know. Mean Joe was so upset he almost quit the team in 1974. Actually packed up his locker and was ready to head to his car for the last time.

Mean Joe didn't make a habit of being an ass in the media, however. I said earlier in this thread that part of the problem is that Dez has been an ass since he first joined the Cowboys, to the point where he has to have a chaparone to keep him out of trouble. How many times has he done stuff like this?

If this were a one time thing, it wouldn't be such a big deal but he does this a few times a year, so now when he does something like this, it draws criticism.

It's another straw on the camel's back instead of the first one.

I don't recall Dez ever being an ass to the media, and I live about an hour from Dallas and see him in the Media a lot. He made some mistakes off the field sure, but he has gotten better and has cleaned up his off field troubles. Also Mean Joe said he left the field mad numorous times before the game ended. So it seems he made a habit out of it, so don't try to sugar coat it he was no better than Dez.

He's an emotional guy but leaving the sideline when there's any remote chance of winning is really bad form.

There was no remote chance of winning when he walked off. Now I agree what he did was wrong, but it's being blow out of proportion.

Actually, he was.

How many times did Dez get in trouble with the law?

Now, how many times did Mean Joe get in trouble with the law?

There you go.

Since day one Dez has been an ass. Name me another player that had to have a chaparone. Please.

How many hissy fits has he had on the sideline? He had one earlier this year, did he not?

That's what I mean, it's a pattern of behavior with him. That's the problem.

Hell, even HE said he was wrong. Why are you saying any different?

Bad snap, the Cowboys recover, where the hell is Dez? The game wasn't over and his job is to see it out. I think his attitude problems are overblown and he obviously wants to win but walking off like that was extremely unprofessional.

Dez was only in trouble with the law once, due to a fight with his crack headed mother, the other incidents were minor BS. He has since cleaned up his act, and even Romo, Ware and Witten said his sideline rants where not what they seemed and were overblown. PAC man Jones need a chaperone but seems to have cleaned up his act.

Also midnight there are several players who needed a chaparone who didn't get one. Big Ben for example, not sure any player was in more off field BS as Big Ben. I could sit here and name many more players who needed someone to hold their hand, but it would take all night.

I really am not trying to imply anything other than what I said. I personally just don't care about all the dramatics they include in sports these days and I truly don't care about about the behavior of players on teams that I am just a casual follower of. I really don't think I even care what any of them do when they are not on the field playing. It's not to often that any NFL player is what I would call a role model anyway.

I also don't understand why there seems to be a double standard in both the media and in the general public on how players should act. In other words why some players get a free pass and why others held to a higher standard.

At the end of the day was it the right thing to do? No.
Did he defend his actions the following day when he cooled off? No
Is it as big of a deal as the media is making it? No.
Is it the reason the Cowboys the game? No.
Is it really that ridiculous? No, people over react and do stupid stuff all the time when they have passion for something. It's part of being human and some of us get more emotionally invested than others. People make mistakes and Dez has made a ton but at least he makes attempts to learn from them and change and really that is all you can do.

Sorry. Dez can be "misunderstood" or whatever, but he needs to get his shit together. He will make his money because "inferior" franchises will always gamble on him, but his talent could translate to so much more. What a waste.

I think Dez is learning as he goes, and his whole body of work is far from finished. Looking at the life this kid had to live through it's amazing he isn't mad at the world, or in prison. You have to give him credit, even though he probably doesn't know his father and his mother was a crack head prostitute, he managed to fight his way through high school and College to get to where he is today. Many kids who live in his situation are either in Jail, on drugs or dead. He's come a long way and I hope he makes it.

I say that because that's the responses I have been getting on this thread. "You can't comment on something another player does not on "your team" That annoys me, I have a say on what I want and this is something that should be talked about regardless of the player or team.

It bothers me because of all the money they are getting and sadly they "are" role models and one day when and if I have children I don't want them to think Dez is one, that's all. Again, he is an amazing talent and from a talent standpoint the Cowboys are very luck to have him.

Does his antics seem to be working for the Cowboys? NO... They still lose and don't seem to really take what he says into consideration (again, just my opinion, not stating fact) and that is why I believe the media is overhyping this and let's not forget the media made the Cowboys "America's Team" so when something like this happens they are all over it.
