Even Dez says he was wrong.

Dez Bryant emotional, exits Dallas Cowboys' loss early - NFL.com

"I was wrong," Bryant said, via the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. "It didn't have anything to do with my teammates. I just ... I couldn't watch Green Bay kneel the ball down on the field after a tough loss like that.

Not really sure how anyone can defend him when he doesn't even bother to.

Definition of NOT a team player right there.... To be a true teammate you are there no matter what.....

Meh, he is a passionate player... it can be frustrating at times but Dez's behaviors is the least amount of the Cowboys worries. Our HC has no idea how to game plan or execute simple time management tasks and our GM has no idea what he is doing. Dez is really one of the only positive things that is going on for the Cowboys and he is actually pretty humble.

I find it strange that a Pats fan is complaining about Dez though. What does this have to do with the Pats and how does Dez effect your team? Also, Brady is just as much if not more of a hot head, he has had many instances of behavior similar to Dez's.

Wow - Because I am a Patriots fan I can't talk about another player. What's wrong with you people? Why can't I?

Since your a Cowboys fan you can talk about him? Well then what right do you have talking about someone not on the Cowboys. See how stupid that sounds!

Dez was wrong for walking off the field. I understand why he did it but that does not make it right. I love the mans passion hell don't we all really want to win that bad ? With that said you just cant abandon your team like that.

The dude cares. You don't always see that in today's world of overpaid pre-madonnas. He cares sometimes to a fault - but he cares.

By all accounts he works hard during practice, everyone says he is a good teammate, he doesn't take plays off during games.

If his biggest fault is he cares too much, to a sometimes immature degree - I can live with that.

I think this shows that Jason Garrett has no control over him. This shit happens on a regular basis with this guy, he needs to get the message that it is not cool. He obviously thinks he can do whatever he wants and that he is above the rest of the team.

He is a great player but not even T.O. did this kind of shit.

A comparison of 2 idiots. If Bryant was'nt a pro he'd be in jail, cant act like that in public without repercussions..

Never said you can't talk about him.. just seems strange that you care. The Pats are not a Cowboys rival or anything, so I don't understand why what he does matters to you... that's all. And again, even stranger that you care about a behavior that he displays which is very similar to one of your own star players. I mean do you start threads like this when Tom Terrific gets out of line?

Say what you want about Dez, but if every player on the Cowboys roster played with the same passion as Dez, this team would be in the playoffs every year. What he did was wrong, but at least he wasn't raping women, torchering dogs, committing murder, riding motorcycles without a helmet, shooting himself in the leg in a bar. I guess those things are ok since they all happened on the very teams most of you are fans of. Yes Dez needs to grow up, but I would take him over the above mentioned morons anyday.

?

Pretty sure raping women, killing dogs, and committing murder move someone pretty far down anybody's list. No helmet and shooting yourself in the leg rank up their with pretty stupid things to do, but I'm certainly not going to put them in the same category as the previous list.

and they could all play with the same passion as Dez, if they had the same attitude, they would be in the same position they are now. Things will get tough in the league, things will suck at some point no matter how good of team you are, how good of a coach, player, whatever. Stick at it long enough and you're going to go thru some pretty rough patches, and players like Dez will quit. They'll look out for themselves. WHen they need to stand up for the guy next to them and pick each other up, they'd walk thru that tunnel and give a big "Fuck you" to everyone else. Your sideline would be empty and you'd be sitting in the stands wondering where your unstoppable team went??????

We all know nobody likes to lose but it's a team sport you stay on the field with your teammates, period. His lack of maturation and professionalism is getting old. But the NFL can tolerate murders, rapists, wife beaters, thugs, and extreme Christians why not immature unprofessional players.

Sure you're going to go through rough patches, but this team isn't going through rough patches. I think Dez could make it through patches as you called them, but this team has sucked for 17 years. Also I have never seen Dez quit in the three years he's been on the team. I have never seen him even take a play off like most diva wide outs. Dez is still a young player, and he is learning. I doubt you will ever see him do that again. This doesn't even make the news if it where another team, but its the Dallas Cowboys so it's national news. I don't blame him for being pissed about the outcome of this game, but I do not agree with what he did.

They DO tolerate immature unprofessional players...

But said players have to take the heat for what they did - which is what Dez is doing now.

Action-reaction.

I disagree and I'll even give you an example.

Cam Newton. How many times have we seen him pouting with a towel over his head and have it discussed to the point of nauseam on ESPN?

The Panthers don't have the following the 'Boys do but that made national news.

Dez is a high profile player and when he does things like this, it makes news. It doesn't help that he had so much off the field trouble early on.

As for him being a young player and he's still learning...is this is first year of playing football?

Didn't he have 4 years in HS, then college? This stuff wasn't acceptable then either. Correct?

Yes Dez played 4 years of High School football, for Lufkin High School. He was on a very good team that went to the Texas class 5A state Championship game his junior year. They lost that game to Southlake Carroll who was nationally ranked. I don't ever recall Dez having any problems on the field, but his team was always very good. As for College, he only had one year, he was suspended his second thanks to Dion Sanders. He took his punishment and moved on to the NFL as the 24th overall pick. As for Cam Newton, sure he's going to catch some negative reactions for pouting, he was only the number 1 pick in the draft.

Yes. And the fact that he actually pubicily apologized for them proves me correct.

No the hell it does not. So you think when politicians apologize they mean it? I have some land for sale here in S. Florida you interested? He doesn't care players are forced by management to appease the fickle fans and media.
