Yea sorry man, I corrected it.I assume you mean would not. And that's what he doesn't understand. Acquiring two players doesn't necessarily mean stripping the farm.

It's a witch hunt for A-Roid and Braun more than anything.
If you'll go read the trades thread you'll see the discussion. I don't feel like rehashing it.
okay, like you I missed those posts but I don't think even in a salary dump that Murphy, Gentry and a prospect or 2 is going to get it done with the other teams mentioned as being interested in Rios.
and i don't think Garza is worth any combination of the prospects listed.

Give a proposal then
That would require home actually going out on a limb.
so that's how you're going to play it. I don't support your Murphy opinion so anything I say gets slammed.
I don't think Garza is worth being traded for period. I've watched him pitch so i'm not going to propose any combination of prospects. he is not enough of an upgrade to be worth anything we would have to give up for him. you trade for a major upgrade or you don't make the trade.
I honestly do not see Garza being an upgrade over Ogando and a combo of Grimm/Tespech.I'm able to back my Murphy opinion up with facts.
So you're content moving forward with a rotation that includes a combination of Tepesch, Grimm, lindblom, Wolfe as the #4-5 and a young rookie as your #3? You'd go into October with those guys? Garza wouldn't be an improvement over them?
Garza has been very good since coming off the DL.

I will never trust any marginal pitcher switching leagues mid season. It's gonna take a lot more than 3 starts from me to think Matt Garza is anything more than a Ryan Dempster waiting to happen.Assuming ogando can come back and stay healthy. Do you really not see garza being an upgrade over those two? They've been awful aside from one start for a while now. Garza has been really good since coming off the DL.

I just don't trust Tepesch or Grimm to perform
Ogando I don't trust to stay healthy
Like I've said, it really depends on the package being offered for Garza, I would trust JD to not way overpay, if the Cubs are shooting for the moon, then forget it, if its a good deal then I'm ok with it
If it costs anything like a Solarte or Odor then it's too much. His best year in the AL was 2008 and he's has one great year in the NL and been mostly alright since then. And career Dempster has a better k/9 than Garza. I have never been sold on Garza, and probably never will be. I know he's a back end of the rotation pitcher, but I don't see him as an upgrade unless he costs anything but cash. There's a big difference between garza and dempster. Garza originally pitched in the AL East with pretty good success and a not stellar, but pretty good k/9.

Trade Jake Brigham again...hahaDempster's k/9 is inflated from being a career NL pitcher. We're not talking guys like Solarte or Odor, and I would agree with you.
