Why not take a point guard w/ a PF's body. Lebron. But Shaq is right there.

Bob McAdoo

Few people remember how dominant he was at his peak. He led the league in scoring and FG % one year and...

He led the league in scoring (34.5 ppg), total points (2,831), total rebounds (1,155), and minutes played (3,539) while ranking fourth in rebounding (14.1 rpg), fifth in field-goal percentage (.512), and sixth in blocked shots (2.12 per game).

If McAdoo were around now he'd be making $25M a year.

If not STEVE, then I would probably take Paul Pierce.

Of everyone who ever played the game, you'd start your team around Paul Pierce. :wtf2:

Yes.

It's my choice, right?

Finals MVP. Top 5 Celtic and probably one of the most gifted to ever play. He just had the misfortune of playing on really truly bad teams for most of his career.

Speaking of 1 on 1 he has consistently outplayed LeBron man to man and has smacked him around on occasion.

LOL @ Paul Pierce (gopher lookn like MF).

He had to wait to get 2 superstars to even have close to a winning record. What a joke!

LOL at Steve Nash and Paul Pierce as choices. You've proven you know little to nothing about basketball.

Steve Nash has no rings because his lack of defense cost him playoff games. I watched Bruce Bowen, the man he was guarding, hit several game winning 3s.......and no, there was no conspiracy. The Spurs play in a small market with the most non marketable "stars" to ever play the game.......there's absolutely NO incentive or motive for Stern to rig games for them.

Magic is a good choice. But I'd take a healthy Bernard King. I'd also take a long hard look at Akeem, probably the most underrated all time great center, if you can say that.

Top 3 guys: 1. Magic 2. Robertson or Stockton 3. Bird and Shaq (most dominant center ever)

Btw...Steve Nash plays no defense. You want an all-around good player if you are taking one player.

i know the history of the game....i know every name brought up

i just wanted to say that because i would go with match-up problems by taking my boy dirk first

this conversation implies that i would be picking my whole team and i would build around dirk......

Interesting choice. I'd love to see the rest of your starting five.

Most people will just name a bunch of superstars, but I firmly believe you can't win without role players. Too many ball dominant shooter types does not make for a good mix or team.

His nephew will probably be a lottery pick. He's currently at UNC.

Except his nephew is not a basketball player and will always wish we could be half the player bob was. He nephew is an athlete who shoots before he looks at the goal, is a turnover machine, and drives me crazy because he lacks basketball skill. How many big guys shoot like 40% from the field?

Reggie Miller.

Just to hear the chant one more time; "Reggie! Reggie! Reggie!..."

... And to hear Bobby 'Slick' Leonard shouting "BOOM, BABY!" again every time Reggie drains another three-pointer. :suds:

off the top of my head......trying to go how a fanasty draft might

pf- dirk
sf-pippen
c-david robinson///(my boy camby would be on my bench somewhere)
sg-ray allen
pg- stockton

can score and play top defense and would be a TEAM

ps....would run a flow offense with robinson moving from high to low post and vice versa

my team wins....:D

i would put pippen on your stockton like the bulls did to slow him down and my stockton would stick to miller while robinson would take hakeem and dirk had malone with a dbl team coming from allen since rodman isnt scoring

then my team would score at will

Yeah I would have to take Reggie and Malone.

I would go:
PG Robertson
SG Reggie
SF Turkoglu (jk...I would go Bird, but I could put a lot of players there...can't think of anyone on the spot)
PF Malone
C Shaq
